yesterday i breakin my new 4btt, just like usual i do my ritual to breakin this beautifull motor. but this time i tried to do it with 9886/41001 combo. i usually do it with 9901/41029 or 41030.

in the middle of breakin i swap the manifold. when i swap it the performance really noticable. 41029 out perform 41001. 41029 smoothly increasing rpm while using 41001 it feel too rich from low to high. am i doing it right or 41001/9886 need to be leaner setting than 41029/9886

You need to re-tune when switching manifolds.

the 41029 header is for the mugen and i think it the only nova header that works with mugen. i have one but havent ran it yet as i got it this winter both the mugen and the header

Not at all, the 41001 header fits perfect in my mbx6r.

Hey guys what would be the difference between a 48 tooth spur and a 46 tooth spur on a 8ight 2.0 with a 4btts? I have both sets with a 13t clutch bell but im not sure if i would get any advantage in using the smaller spur

48 tooth = more bottom less top
46 tooth = more top less bottom

Ran into an interesting problem the other day as i was trying to diagnose an engine flameout issue for a fellow racer. The engine was a x7 strapped to a 9853ss. would run great on the box and as soon as we through it down it would bog down and die within the first few corners. Checked and pressure tested entire fuel system then cleaned and flushed. Pressure tested carb then cleaned and flushed. Tore down engine for inspection and then assemble. Blew 125psi through all openings on pipe. Everything checked out ok so i was crossing my fingers thinking i may have flushed gunk out of fuel system. Guess what same sh!t. After scratching my head for a bit, decided to try another 9853 pipe and VIOLA! Looked inside pipe and thought i saw something in the bottom hole of chamber but unable to see clearly. took pipe and slammed it on table and then it popped loose. It was a washer for countersunk screw blocking half of one of the four holes leading to the second chamber causing tons of pressure to be forced into tank when engine was under load.
So PLEASE save yourselves(or your engine guy) the time and headache and keep your pipes in ziploc bags! :tire:

41001 , 41019 , 41005 are all "narrow" style headers just like 41029

Im looking for an alternative to the C6tgc plug for my Beats engine, no real reason i just want to see what else i could use instead of the standard plug.

Cheers
Ross

Need some input...I'm running a bonito with 9853ss and 41029 header on a mugen mbx7. What kind of power can I see from bottom to top. And how much run time can I expect out of it running at about 245-250?

You will see good power all around, especially on bottom. Depending on the carb insert, expect between 7-8minutes runtime at those temps.

You can also try the novarossi c7tgc. It's especially good in warmer weather. It will also give you a little better runtime than the c6tgc.
