I have 7 gallons on my Bonito and it runs flawless and has great compression. 2 weeks ago I was having a flame out issue and I couldn't correct the problem with the needles so I pulled the engine apart and my front bearing had slack so I changed it out and it and haven't flamed since. This is the second front bearing I have replaced on this motor so I don't think its too far fetched that this could be the problem. First one I replaced around the 3 gal mark.

Pull the crank out and put it through the front bearing from the outside of the motor and see if it has slack.

3 gallons could be bearing...... as a rule the 7 ports are rock solid for us unless there is something wrong....at 3 gallons a bearing is likely scrap..especially if the engine has been run in dirty dusty conditions......

So are you saying if the bearing has slack , the nitro spray test wont determine it?

Also keep in mind gentlemen the flameouts are only happening when I'm upside down. Its never happening while I'm on all 4 wheels.

I assume the nitro spray test will work but I have never checked mine using that method but I have read on here where it works.

He means fuel line. Run a longer fuel line or convert tank to a clunker tank.

Moe,
PM me your cell number and I'll text you a pic of my fuel routing on my 8.2 is needed. More then likely it sounds like your LSN is a touch lean and its starving for fuel when upside down.

the pre-run from novarossi is very very close to race ready actually , very good forming of the piston/sleeve fit actually , worth the $$$ IMO

Thank you very much! I just got a Roma 25 Pre-Run. Ask Novarossi and they said they would do three more tanks with rich carburetion, and then ready for the track!

One more question, i wonder if the pipe 9901 is equal in performance to the RB 2097? Because I would like to use this set in my Nova Bonito:

if you want the Bonito to make good power try the 9886SS on a 41001 or 41019 manifold................ if you wish to tame the Bonito and smooth its power run the 9901/41021 or 2096/41021 ..the 2096 and 9901 will make the engine smooth, but will reduce the output substantially compared to 9886... anyone who complains about a Bonito lacking oomph needs to try a 9886 on a short manifold........it totally wakes the engine up and brings it alive........

Hi guys,

I had many Novarossi engine, from 367 to BTT passing through P4, P4-C Team, P5XLT. I just bought a new P5XLT and reading the exploded view I did notice that according to Novarossi on my 2012 P5 there is a 24063 carburetor instead of 24069 as stated on my 2010 P5 exploded view.

My question is, how do you guys identify the carburetor installed on the engine ? I did not notice any reference on the carburetor body. And according to the different exploded view I have it's only the body that do change between models.

So please help me figuring this out.

Also I know that a new carburetor is out 24065. Do this one bring some goods versus the old one ?

Regards...
