NOVAROSSI Engine thread....

I always thought the 367 was a great engine. A lot of guys complained that they were flame out kings but the few guys I modded them for locally never had any trouble. We had similar success with the Plus21-5 as people complained of that one as well. For $225, it is definately worth a look. Where are they on sale for that price?

It's a fast engine, but mine was tough to tune....jmo...
I noticed my p5 had two allu. shims and one thin brass shim, is it ok to take out the thin brass one. What shims do yall use in a p5...

I have always pulled the .1 shim out of P5 head. Just be aware that if you run hotter plugs, you run a higher risk of preignition. Run a medium or cold plug if you want to be safe. If you elect to run a hot plug, your tune better be spot on. You can always run lower nitro %'s if you want but I assume you want to stick with your current fuel.

a little help guys...
Well after 9 tanks on parking lot as i said before a week. 21/1/10 At sunday i race at the first Truggy Master for 2010 here in Greece... With my new engine of course, the Plus 4... I race it with the same ''set up'' as i broke in... Byron 25% with 11% oil, Novarossi C6TGC glow plug, stock shimming , dynamite 053 pipe and 41021 novarossi header and 6.5 venturi...Tha race day was at 5 Celcious , i tune also my plus4 and never NEVER flameout ...My idle gap is so little, tiny idle gap.. My LSN is a little in from flush and my HSN is not tune at the race set up.... at the Qualify i get from the engine 80-86 Celcius and at the race 92 C... when i broke in my engine i get 95-105 with wrap head.... Also i never get over 8 minutes... my pitman said that when i go for refuelling i had some drops of fuel in the tank and i went for refuelling after 7.30 minutes..
Why so little run time?
I have so little run time because the engine have run only aprox. 1800ml-2000ml of fuel? rich set up?
Very good engine no flameouts if you tune it properly ver stable ,very powerfull even for a truggy but i want more run times
also i found my piston and the bottom of the button black-gold-brown but more to black ....This mean rich set up?

I was like either he has that thing too rich or that pipe and header are not responding as well as it could to that engine. There could be other reasons but unless I am seeing things for myself, it is always difficult to diagnose things over the net. If it was me, I would try another tuned section (9901SS or 9886) with the same header and see what you get.

My engine is still new it has burn aprox 2L of fuel...I have read that need over a gallon to see better run times... But i get the same run times as my dynamite 28 with 7.5 venturi and the nova is 21 with 6.5 venturi... But it is still rich in the HSN and it has medium plug in a very cold weather... For cold weather C5TGC or C5TGF?
