My cousin thinks he's knows everything and said that but overall is it a good motor to get?
The P5XLT is an awesome engine, lots of grunt, really good engine for buggy and plenty for a truggy too |

chances are 9886 would suit the Roma a pile better then the 2084....2084 kills upper midrange and top end for a tiny extra boost in the bottom........A engine like the Roma will have a pile of its own natural tourque and wont need the help of the 2084.......You wont need to sacrifice all that top end....to me the 2084 is too much like the 9853, a little extra bottom end in exchange for a big sacrifice to midrange and top end.....
edit.... Not trying to take anything away from the 2084....its just that the Roma most likely already has a strong bottom end, so adding on a 9853 type pipe may be going too far in the one direction...usually large engine do better on RPM type pipes, as the bigger engines already have a pile of low end torque and usually need the most help on the top end....! |
Guys, i'm looking to get a Nova engine for my truggy. Wondered why not, i'm getting a Serpent S811T, lets start all new, also the engine :)
I have been running a Werks B5/2013-2058 and love it, never had a problem with it and it runs good. But i wanted to try something else. Heared alot about the Bonito, so that mill has my interest, but what will be the diferences with a Werks B5? Also will a Bonito run good with a 2058 or 2013 pipe? How is the bottom & top end from the Bonito? Like to hear about this mill |

I would like to keep it at a .21 because they deliver enough power for a truggy,at least most of them..
What are the specs for a Bonito? Much power down low? Good top end or does it lack on top?? Someone who can compare it to a Werks B5 Or Alpha S852? |
bang for buck
ive recently got a 1/8 buggy to race this summer.its been 4-5 yrs since i ran nitro.i wanna go novarossi but want to spend over 250 bucks.i looked a n21r,a plus21-4 and a s21p5xlt.which is recommended around this price?also are the lesser expensive ones a n21r weak?

The bonito is a very fast engine, loads of top end, you'll run out of room before you run out of engine. Also in comparison to its predecessor(Toro Nero), its a bit stronger on the bottom end. If you run it with a pipe that yields a lot of grunt, like a 2084 or 2013 or maybe even a 2096, you will get a good balance of torque and plenty of top end. If you want a stump puller, grab yourself a P5XLT. I ran one in an RC8T with a 2084 and I could handle short run-ups to jumps as good or better than the Nova 28 i had in it. The P5XLT also has a very attractive price  |
Thanks for the information, im still most interested in the Bonito.. Donīt know why, but i saw some Toro Neroīs at truggys and they did a good job, so i think a Bonito will work real good..
How are the runtimes from a Bonito? I reach 9;30 average with my B5/2013, heavy on throttle... |

i have found a happy medium between power and run time i tried the two diffrent tuning methods i was recomended by the guys who run them here ive got a little more down low power than before but still not anough of what i wont i still get 11.30 12 min from a tank thats dry so i can still have a 10 10.5 min stop strategy more practise on saturday |
