The B5 will have more power overall than the old GRP motors and definitely more bottom end than what you have had in the past. Hope this helps!

If I match this mill with a 2053 pipe, what kind of run times am I looking at? Does it come shimmed for 30%? I would imagine you would recommend Werks plugs but they are not really available here locally. Would a P3 be a good alternative? Hopefully these answers come back with good things. You just might have another customer:nod:

Yes, its ready to go on 30%, Os P3 plugs are a excellent choice if WERKS plugs are not availbale. I would reccomend Werks #5 or #6 or OSP3. The grp 2053 pipe will work ok but here is a list of better pipe choices that I have tried and work really well . They all act different as far as smoothness, punch etc...

2013 most power and punch with xlnt top end I feel this is the best pipe for this engine.
2057 smooths out a lot less explosive still great bottom and top
2056 smoothes out even more Takes some power away but still performs great.
2035 pipe alos works pretty good similar to 2013 feel
losi re-10
053
086
also will work decent......All these pipes work good, In my opinion and I have done a lot of testing with pipes on this engine since it first came out the 2013 is the best pipe for this engine and next the 2057. The 2035 feel pretty close to the 2013 but overall power is down a bit. Then the other pipes work pretty good also. I didnt want to get this to long . This is from my testing at the track with all the pipes and it is my opinion. as pipes all feel diferent on an engine and some like it different than others, pipes are kinda personal prefernece thing to a point. ............

Hmmm. I am currently running the Trinity Extech .21 with the Trinity 2013 pipe.

How is the power band in comparing the two. The reason I ask is because I really like the punch and power of my extech.

Just dont want to go backwards since I am used to power that the extech has.

Thanks everyone.

You won'tbe going backwards at all with a B5/2013 combo. As mentioned earlier this is the best setup for this engine...

AWESOME power and great fuel milage

you will not be dissappointed

I have 2 Extech 2 full mods. and B5, i will say the Extech 2 is a beast has more power then a B5. but B5 still wins in my book because price and its has good all round power for any track. B5 only thing i question is its durability time will tell. thats my real feedback ,i'm only loyal to my wallet.
you have to be careful not not get sucked in by hype. guys posting when they have some kind of connection with product ei product sponsorship they will tell you anything. the only feedback i listen too is real club racers , who is in this hobby just for the fun of it!!!!!

yea ask him i saw this motor run on his truggy at the KY state and it was awesome. he only came in twice at the ten min marks. the motor had more then enough power for the truck. if i remember him telling my buddy coty rite he said if you go with the bottome end pipes that the power is rediculous. he said after alot of fulling around with the motor he ended up goin to a cold plug and the pipe listed above and just does do ten min a tank. after watching him race that race i do believe this will be my next motor that i put on my D8 or D8T for the PNB only if it will make it over the big jumps.

I have a losi re11 and a dynamite 086 will either one of thease work with the b5? If not Is there a pipe that will run with it for 75$ or less

jmoneym 01-09-2010 10:44 AM

i'm using a Dym mr053 feels really good. also tried the 086 ,053 is better

jjshbetz11 01-09-2010 10:51 AM

I pm'd Jonathan Bell, will report back as soon as I hear from him

heidmann1 01-09-2010 06:41 PM

In my opinion the 053 is better than the RE-11. I did not like that pipe much one the B5, The 053 works pretty good....
