i dont have the extra cash for 2013 pipe right but i have a jp 4----jp3---hyper 8 pipe which is a tuned mid range---and a sts 0403. which one of these is gonna give me the best run time for the b5

thinking of trying this engine in the near future

would an od 97T plug run good in the motor?(I am in so cal) I want to run od because of the price and fairly easy to find

also I would be running either an OS 2050 or a Jp-3..I will be running in my truggy w/ 1.1 clutch springs

the 0403 or the jp4, possibly the 0403. Some depends on the track layout.

do you khow if the sts 0403 pipe is a low,mid or high end pipe.

judging by how long they are I'd assume a low end pipe? I have one of those still 2

I had to go take a look at the pipe in order to figure out what you were talking about lol! The fatboy is a Sirio pipe, can't remember what the EFRA # is but we called them the baseball bat pipe. I tested these about 2-3 years ago on our B7-Pro's and to be upfront with you, none of the guys liked them compared to the 2013. If memory serves me right it really softened the bottom end but it's been ages so I might have it backwards lol! This is a completely different engine though so please let me know what you think once you get a chance to run it. It's a pretty simple thing for me to bring these in so if it works I would be more than happy to add it to our product offering even though I still think that it's one of the strangest (and I should add ugliest lol) pipes that I've ever seen!

haha ugly is right thats why i was thinking it has to work..LOL
but to my understanding it takes away bottom end and runtime goes waaay up.and i figured with the B5 I have plenty of bottom to spare so i had to try it..will keep you up to date

I would have to say the sts pipe is probably a low end pipe also. I had to cut a hole in the body of my jammin x2 for the front of the pipe to stick out. There really is no good description of the pipe. i got it when i tried out the new team sts engine.

I use a JP1 on my trinity draked and that is a 5 port and that thing has so much low end power at it is hard to control at times but it is a blast to drive and that is in my truggy I am running a hyper ST Pro I love the truck but it is pretty heavy.

Im not sure how it will do in a buggy thats a lot of power I was thinking of trying a 053 but not sure.

Did a forum search for the 2013 pipe and found conflicting answers. One person said, it's a bottom end pipe. The other person said, it's a mid and top end pipe (similar to the JP4).

San. it's an across the board pipe. Just think of it as crack for our engines! It just pepps up the power band on the engine all over the place, aggressive bottom, strong mid and top end to boot! Plus the sound is awesome, almost like a 2 stroke dirt bike lol! If some one is running one on the track you immediately know by the trademark wraaaap when they launch a jump!

2013 by far the best pipe for werks engines for overall power.I swear by it.

Definetly try the 2056 (batpipe).

At Rd 1 I ran the full eb mod ex tech .21 with the batpipe, 6.5 insert and 1 aluminum/ 2 carbon shoes w/ 1.1 springs.

The bottom end was smooth and linear with insane top end and runtime.

With the 2013 this motor was undriveable with carbon's and .9's, lol.

You may have to go to a little heavier spring on the clutch to get the same bottom end feel but I think you will really like it.
