What do you mean the idle gets stuck? IS the slide sticking? Or is it a high idle/maybe your clutch is getting hung up on the bell?

Just a question, Do you guys know what causes the idle to get stuck in mid-air? I was at the track yesterday and I would do the triple and let off the trigger but the buggy would stay at a very high idle and the front end would start coming up. I looked at the servo and everything looked okay. The servo was centering and the end points looked right?

Any ideas? Air leak maybe?

PS I use Hitec 7955TG servos

Thanks
Eddy

Eddy,
What car is this in? Mine does the same thing in my rc8t.. Bad fuel tank is my take.

Just wanted to report that my B5 finally popped... Made it 7 very abusive gallons on all original parts and the rod finally let go. It went quietly while hauling down the long straight during warm ups for a club race. I'll definitely treat the next one a little nicer and see if we can make it to 10 :)

What you are experiencing is commonly simply called your engine is running on. This is a typical sign of your engine being too lean. If your overal temperature is normal then your needle ballance is off. More than likely you are too lean on the HD and rich on the LS. Try richening your HS to start 1-2 hours. If your car now feels a little sluggish on the bottom you can lean the LS 1-2 hours.

Yes it seemed almost like the slide was getting stuck but i dont think thats the case. But it sounds if the slide were getting stuck in mid air. My temps were real good. I think I was a little lean on the LS but at the same time my idle on the box wasn't very high, kind of low and steady. I took my engine out of my car today and noticed the carb wasn't fully in. There's was a small enough gap to where I could barely see the o ring move around. I lubed up the carb with some after run oil and pushed the thing completely in too where it sits in flush now. This makes me wonder if this was the problem. Maybe an air leak? Also I run a hara d8.

Thanks for the help
Eddy

There should be two carb seals - one inside the case near the slide and another at the top of the neck. My original B5 did not have a recess in the case for the top seal so it always sat just outside. My B6 Pro has that recess so it's easier to push in.

Hey Alexrckid... I see your around the Tri-state area. Hit up Marshon50. He has Werks product for us in our area. Ask him if he has the engines. I know he has the fuel because i bought a case from him before.
