Just ordered a werks b5 pro. Ron has really impressed me with his outstanding and IMHO industry leading committment to customer service.

Now, a question. Does the ofna 086 pipe work well to smooth out the power band on the b5pro? How does it do on fuel economy? Would a longer header change that performance much?

Thanks

This engines runs good with almost any pipe, but you get the must out of them with any of the werks/Sirio pipes and the 2035. The B5 and 2035 works great if you are in a budget, but nothing like the werks pipes. M2C

I also ordered the werks light 4 shoe clutch setup. Cant wait to play with that and see how it changes the feel of the car.

Quick newbie question. I just purchased a new B5 Pro. Looking at the 2 o-rings on the carb retention pin, one o-ring is missing a section. I am assuming this is not correct? The carb retention pin is still in the SEALED plastic, and I don't see the other section of the o-ring in the package. I found a picture online that looks like mine.

Tony, just email Ron, he will reply you faster than a pm. And yes should be a O ring not a moon seal, lol. You will love the Werks line of products. Make sure print the brake in procedure in the first page, Have fun!;)

Thanks a lot. I didn't think so, but the fact the rest of it is not in the still sealed package threw me off, lol.

PM sent. That's what I call customer service!!! These little engines are new to me, (I build a lot of engines for drag racing), so when I saw the "half-moon" o-ring, without the missing piece being in the bag, I had to be certain it wasn't made that way on purpose.:lol: When I googled it, I found the pic I attached earlier, but with no explanation, so then I was really confused:o:o
I purchased this engine not only because of the great reviews, but because I saw the owner constantly in these threads, on the front line, so to speak.
That in itself is impressive, and speaks volumes about the quality of the product. You'll never find an owner on any thread if they don't have the confidence that thier product is top notch!
Looking forward to running this.

Thanks again.

Thanks Tony, I try to take care of everyone as good as I can. These things are almost like my babies lol! I'll take a look for your PM and send the replacement o-ring out asap. My apologies again about that happening!

Hey Ron, I was wondering if you can just give me a part number for your B5 muffler springs. Can't seem to find them anywhere. I believe they are 3/4 in. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks man!

HI Chad, A-main has both the manifold to engine block and the manifold to pipe springs in stock. Just click on engine parts, werks then .21 B7 and you will see them. For some reason they do not have them listed on the B5 or B6 parts pages.

Ok, cool. That was the problem, that they listed them as B7 springs. So if they will work for B5 also, that's all I need to know. Thanks Ron, can't tell you how much I love your devotion and helpfulness to this hobby. That's why I love Werks products.

Thanks for the o-rings! I only needed one , received a baggy with several in it. If this little engine performs half as well as the customer service, it should out run everything on the track:nod::nod:
