I learned one thing though. If I ever show up to a track, and after my first practice run my tires are worn out, I'm leaving.

As Bevo said it was one of the new Werks ones with the reinforced stinger. The reinforcement held, the stinger just pulled out. It was still hot so we tried to bend it back... bad idea on my part. I'm poor, I only buy when I have some spare change. If I don't, I can't run. Thanks for the tips, I hope the Tig welder works. He's a Flyboy (hobbyist) so I'm hopeful. I'm actually a great stick welder and a decent Mig welder. Just no exp. with aluminum.

Wish me luck,
Rich

Well had a bad night. my b5 died. This motor never gave me one ounce of problems. never flamed in a race and was easy to tune, (wished it had lasted longer than 5gal.) and will be ordering another one in a month or two. Just have to figure if I am going to get a b5 or b6 for the Agama buggy. If I get a b6 will any of the good parts be usable as spares?

Yes, you can use this one for spare parts. Sorry about your B5 .

Another good run for me at the RC Pro Tx State Series race at Indy RC World last night. I took my AE RC8T w/ Werks B5 and VP Fuels and qualified 8th overall out of 30 sportsman drivers and endup finishing 6th in the 20min Amain. And I had a few people tell me that I was kinda crazy but I only made one pit stop, but what they don't know the fuel milage I get with the B5's!! I know I could have made the podium but had a really bad start and after the 1st lap I came across the line in 12th so with a 6th place I'm still pretty happy !! No issues at all again with the B5!!! Great mileage and good temps to get it 220 is the hottest it's seen!! Thanks Ron for the great motors!! And thanks Mike Battalie for the awsome Fuel!!
Thanks Lance
