yes i am runing the motor in my car with a 2013 and i notice it rubing but i kind just left it never seemed to be a issue so far. you can do like ron said and slight bend the header in.

well i got to run my motor this weekend and i loved thank ron this going to be a great summer and thank you for giving me this option for 2010 and the future i hope. i would like to give a big thanks to team mate scot for getting me up to speed turning my motor and teaching me the things it liked.

Just finished the season where I live (Tas-Australia)...
I had 8-9 litres on the engine and took it part to store\check it over.

Looks really good apart from the rear bearing, it isn't as smooth as I had hoped it would be (front still silky)... I assume the 14.2x25.3mm TKO bearing is a good replacment?

Hey guys
just got back from the Manufacture shootout, the B5 in truggy ran awesome all weekend. engine seemed to be tricky in the hot humid weather down in alabama but no worries on the B5/2013 combo. runtime was great and power was rediculous!!!!
qualifyed 2nd and won the main.
thanks Ron for an awesome engine!!!!!

Do you guys run steel or aluminum flywheels on the B5 for buggy?

Werks 06-07-2010 12:03 PM

Glad that you guys are all liking the motor! Thank you again for choosing to run one of our products!

MikeinMotion, I think that a lot of people are really surprised by what this little engine can do when it is properly tuned lol!

porkchop, no problem, enjoy!

Hyper RX7, welcome! Thanks for choosing to go with one of our motors, i know that they are not readily available in Australia so you had to put some effort in to get one! Now that you have had it for some of your season what are your thoughts? Also what are the main engines (and fuel) being run down there if you don't mind me asking? Lastly regarding the TKO bearing that should work just fine.

1fastguy1, high humidity conditions do indeed make tuning a little bit more difficult. Congrats again on taking the truggy win and thank you for choosing to use one of our engines to do it with!

Show871, steel or aluminum? Basically it should be looked at as a tuning aid. We are going to be releasing a new 4 shoe clutch set up in a couple of weeks and actually have 3 different flywheel weights available. Light, medium and heavy (comparable to most steels in weight) to allow you a range of tuning options on how the engine puts down power. Basically though the higher grip the track the lighter the flywheel you want and the slicker the track the heavier the flywheel. The increased weight stops the engine from spooling up so quickly breaking traction and causing wheel spin. If you are looking at picking up an aftermarket clutch system I would seriously recommend that you wait about 2 weeks for our new one to come out as I think it's quite simply going to be the best thing on the market for a while.

Ok, were you able to take the carb apart and spray it out? If so did that resolve the issues?
