If its going in a LOsi make sure your throttle linkage is perfect and not making the throttle bind or pull crooked. A lot of guys with losi's have problems if the linkage is not perfect it will ruin your carb or servo. You may already know this its all over the losi threads. But thought I would mention it just in case!:) Welcome to the B5 Family!!!!

Ron- You got mail!

arm2storm 02-23-2010 06:43 PM

Well I just bought two B5'S one for myself and for a friend (I convinced him to get one) so I hope I wasn't wrong.lol. I know I made a good choice after the great personal attention that Ron provides and how he stands by he's product, how can we go wrong. We will be running these in the Texas RC PRO. So wish us luck.

I've learned to buy what I need not what I want. And I believe these motors have what I need.

P.S.

Ron, Where can I buy some black Werks T-Shirts?

I just got my new 2010 B5 mounted up in the MBX6. Hopefully I will have my new 2057 pipe and R5 plugs tomorrow from the USPS fairy. I am looking forward to trying the Werks plugs. I will let you guys know what I think after racing this weekend. My previous B5 was good and made 10 minutes easy.

Thanks Aray, when I started working on the B5 project my intention was to give people a high quality, high performance Italian racing mill at a reasonably price, in a nutshell something that I would feel happy with the current economic situation spending my own hard earned money on. It's comments like yours which make me feel that I have accomplished that goal, thank you.

Regards,

Ron

No worries! I think you're on the money. There are a lot of engines out there that don't seem to be delivering a lot of value. ("hey, don't forget to replace the rod after a gallon, maybe the bearings at 2 gallons, and if you're lucky it'll last 3 gallons before it needs a piston and sleeve..oh yea, the crankcase breaks from time to time but it's no big deal" -- huh?)

PS - Never hurts to have guys like Kingsbury out there unleashing the fury :D

If you cant get the linkage perfect you want to use some wd-40 down the carb. Did this on my sons new b-5 and its silky smooth.

By the way the last day at nitro challenge was a mud pit. B-5 ran great never flammed and just kept going. Held a tune all weekend long.

Hey aray! Glad you could join the dark side. Kingsbury put on a show this past weekend. He broke a part on the buggy and lost 6 minutes while repairing it. He then proceeded to go "balls out" for the remaining 24. It was a sight to behold. We were all in awe of how much control he had with the speed he was carrying into every corner and jump. I got a chance to drive it and really liked his setup and the 2057 pipe.

As everyone here has said, the 2013 has a distinctly aggressive sound. Keep your women and children away or they will be scarred for life :P

Thank you both for the comments, it was a fun weekend! Let me know if you have any questions with the engines.

I'm not sure about on the WERKS engines but I know that you should not put WD40 in an engine that has the putty in the crank becouse it can cause it to become loose and eventually fall out.

I was also pitted next to a guy in Az at the Nitro Challenge who had just bought a new Buggy and B5 for the race and ended up bumping a few times. He was getting decent run times and had great power. Very impressive engine for the cost Ron. Good Job.

Got my first two tanks idled through the 2010 B5. The R5 plugs help the motor idle really well. The new 2057 looks really nice too. I hated having to bend the header to make it fit the MBX6. Now its time to hit the track Saturday, finish the break-in and lean this bad boy out. Thanks for the quick shipping Ron.

No problem, let me know what you think about it once you get some fuel through it. The 2057 pipe I think is the ticket for buggies with it being so smoooooth!

Not a problem Tim, it's what I'm here for! Let me know what you think once you run the motor!

Ron. Wanted to let you know how awesome your driver Mike Battaile is. He help me tremendously at Motorama. Everything from tuning to pitting. Great guy with a ton of knowledge. He had my motors hauling. They were reliable and carried me to a fourth place open buggy finish. Thanks for making great motors and Fielding a helpful team...
