EB Mods JS Engine
#586
Put another 1/2 gallon through each of my full mods this last sunday. Both ran great as expected. Was running with a buddy of mine, and he has the race prep version. Both of us were getting similar results on run time, but my full mod had just a little more top end on the straights. We run the same buggy and gearing, and very similar setups. I'm running the 086 pipe, and he has the 2035. These motors run great with any pipe, so you can use whatever you have in the box. I am still testing some of my other pipes and headers to see which combo feels the best to me.
Here are a pic of the new buggy with the practice body.

If its running on at the end of the straightaway its too lean on the top. fatten the top 1 hr at a time till it stops running on, then start leaning the bottom till the idle is strong and steady. idle should not be adjusted more then 1/8 of a turn in either direction from box setting for the perfect tune.
What are box settings for top and bottom? Kind of lost track after the first Gallon.

It has previously been claimed that problems with the JS engines occur around the gallon mark. I have put 2 gallons trough my fully modded JS, and it has been nothing but good times. Very easy to tune, performance is great and really enjoy the faces turning pale on my fellow rc drivers when the see the performance and hear the price. If it stays this way you have a returning customer for years to come.
For the record I'm what best can be described as an enthusiatic amateur and not sponsered by anyone besides my paycheck
. I just believe that when you get a killer product it's a good thing to spread the word.

I ran my race prep JS Saturday at the third round of the Losi series and my god the power from this motor is nutty. I honestly don't believe that I have ever had motor as powerful as the JS. I used to run Ninjas and now I will run nothing but the JS line of motors. I was running an 086 pipe and P5 plug. I'm actually getting good runtime now, something I've never had.
