If its running on at the end of the straightaway its too lean on the top. fatten the top 1 hr at a time till it stops running on, then start leaning the bottom till the idle is strong and steady. idle should not be adjusted more then 1/8 of a turn in either direction from box setting for the perfect tune.
One more question, do you know the out of box setting for the idle? I may have moved it too much already.

pull the stack out , then while pushing the slide closed with your finger, back the idle screw out till its JUST closed (even work it in and out to get it perfect) then go back in 1- 1/4 turns.

pull the stack out , then while pushing the slide closed with your finger, back the idle screw out till its JUST closed (even work it in and out to get it perfect) then go back in 1- 1/4 turns.

Decided to throw a Full Mod in my Truggy for some testing on my practice track. This engine is ripping it up for sure. I have a 50' triple on the front straight and my truck is taking it out as easy as my E buggy! Awesome power from this mill and still over 10 min pits while driving very hard!

so i'm thinking of getting 2 of these motors. one for buggy and one for truggy. can someone tell me the performance difference between each one and which motor i'm better off putting in both buggy and truggy. i normally race at 2 different tracks one is dusty hard packed track and the other is clay. both cars r losi 8ights 2.0.thank you for any info

I would go with whichever your pocket tells you too. I run the race prepped in my 6T and absolutely love it! I couldn't be any happier to be honest, getting 12 mins to a tank and the power is sick.

The full mod will spool up a bit faster and have a lil more upper RPM. The FM also comes with a TKO ceramic rear bearing.

Both would be fine in either buggy or truggy, as you can tune to suit with pipes.
