They come broke in so you can start race tuning them right away. They will how ever loosen up a touch more and you'll now when it happens cause the motor will go rich and you'll have to lean it 1 or 2 more hours.

yeah felt like they had just a smidge of metal pinch yet...so I was thinking just taking it easy the first tank and then start tuning it.

Thanks,
Ryan

well so far I have 5 tanks on both engines race prep and full mod, running them with AE2035 pipes buggy is very stout and was getting 11.5 mins and I havent "leaned" on it yet very much. now the truggy seems to not have nearly as much punch on the bottom but has a good top end. so I think I will be putting the full mod in the buggy and the race prep in the truggy....again this is with the AE2035 pipe so I will do some testing and go from their.

blktransam try using the 086 pipe, you will notice a big diff in the bottom end.
This is the recomended pipe to date. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Hard-Anodized

well good news! first race with the new JS engines today and quald. 2nd in truggy and buggy a-mains...truggy A-main I ended up winning by 1 lap truck was on rails and the EB mods JS engine was DIALED! buggy main was battling for 1st with 4 mins to go in the 20 min main and lap traffic came up and I got stuck in the middle , ended up in 2nd 5 secs. back.

THANKS EB mods!!

Ryan,
I got your order. Things got a little delayed at ebmods cause we got hammered with snow and lost internet for a few days. My only internet for the past few days has been via iphone and my service is slow where i live. Expect a invoice tomorrow. =)

Glad to gear you like the engine!

I just got my 2 JS full mod engines before motorama and only put like 1 tank through both of them in my buggy and truggy before leaving for the race. I can't find one bad thing to say about Ed's engines. I am running the 086 in the buggy and the 007 in truggy. Both were very quick off the line and real fast down the straight. I was hoping that running the full mod in truggy that I would have enough bottom end. Let me say this thing has plenty of off the line punch, you won't be disappointed. After running both vehicles for 7mins. I still had just a little under a half a tank left in both of them. I can definitly see 10mins of runtime. Thanks Ed for such a great engine, and Joe for your help and support. By the way Joe, your air filters and filter oil are awesome.
