It doesn't matter, just enjoy your engine, you've made a good buy
Evo 2 Sirios are very fast engines. If you wan't a fast comparative to know what you bough, the external difference between old TUP and new Evo2 TUP's is the cooling head. Old one doesn't have the sirio lgo and Evo2 letters printed on top, and it is much smaller, and i think it was black.

thanks for the heads up Dynamite.. how much did you paid for your engine? the reason i asked is just to confirm if there really are 2 versions of the 5 port engine as told by the shop owner.. i got mine for S$380. btw, the other 5 port is going for S$295. lastly, would it be possible for you to post some pics of the sleeve? thanks in advance! :)

sure orange,

go back a page... i didnt take a shot of the sleeve in particular, but you can see it on the bench in the background.

i will take some photo's of it when i get the engine out of the car... against my better judgement i used the the phillips screws that came with my rrr kit for the engine... and one stripped trying to get it out, i swear they are butter soft :( anyways i will get you some good ones when i get it out some time late this week - can you get me some good pics of your sleeve too?

TRPI / WC difference ?

I have purchase an EVo II TRPI (and really like the perfomance / reliability) and will be putting the EFRA Legal cank in it so i guesse it's soon to be a TRPE. My question is.... The WC box edition with pipe is a good deal and consider bying one but when looking at star website there is no breakdown/part nos of WC edition. I would like to buy WC and put EFRA crank in so im EFRA legal.Does anybody know the difference between the TRPI and WC edition. The crank seems an obvious one but other than that is what im proposing feasible.?

Cheers

In Spain, and I guess in rest of Europe, they sell the WCR edtion in EFRA configuration.
Haven't seen one yet, but my guess is that WCR engines must have different timing than TRP (I) or (E)
In Spain you could call Carlos Ducay from Micromodel and ask him
+34-91-4463820. That is where I buy my Sirios. Tell him Alfonso from Peru sent you.

Brasil has tropical weather, so it should be ok.
Any engine can perform in hot weather, if it is properly tuned.
Actually in Sirio's web site there are no power figures for any engine. The specs on all 3 ports and the 5 port TUP are the same bore , stroke, etc. So it's a quetion of rules, either you run outlaw or you run legal.

The price at Nitrometano, which is a Spanish forum site, is 300 Euros, which is about U$390.00. The picture there is of the first Collari engines which didn't have the Low Center Gravity cooling head.
The Collari's shown at Werks Racing are the new ones with LCG head, but they are the Standard versions, not the Mauro Collari modified, they will have the MC's later on the year....but still, the 3 port Collari has proven 1.6 bhp on the dynamometer...you can expect a different power band on the moded version, but not much power increase...but about U$100.00 price increase...is it worth???...I think the Werks Collari has enough power, because it is IFMAR-ROAR spec. If you buy in Europe most likely it will be EFRA spec, which has more tuning restrictions on crank.
So my guess is that a regular IFMAR spec Collari will have more power than a Moded EFRA spec engine.

Can anyone identify this ?

I have just bought a Mugen MRX-3 with a Sirio Trinity 7 Port Turbo engine. How do these engines compare to other models on the market.

Even though it is an early Sirio engine, it should be the equivalent of today's Sirio S21 RR, which is 3rd rated 7 port .21 Sirio engine.
First two are the S21 WCR and S21 PR-PRO.
Go to www.star-motor.com

How does it compare to other brands on the market??.......i don't have experience with .21 engines..sorry i only work with .12's
