Hi Guys

Would anyone know here. What was the engine model that was used in the worlds by Adrein prior to the release of the WCR which is priced at 320$ with a pipe and comes in a wooden box. From Sirio's website the only engine that has the same specs is the S12 TUP..

I would also like to know what are the temps this engine can withstand and is there anyone who would have known the climate in Brazil in Centigrades.

The reason for the temp qs is that If i were to buy a Sirio WCR model would it be worth it to spend that much or could i settle for the tup.... AS we run at temperatures of 40C heat...in summers. Winters are ok for any engine. Would the SIRIO perform as good as in the hot humid climate here.........

Or should I just buy the S12 TUP, how much is the diff......performance and price wise.. Any good website selling the S12 TUP's in US ?

i have to ask, what is the big deal with the world specail super duper edition of the sirio evo 2, arent all the evo2 motors just as good, being the new motor came after the races? sirios are very good especially for the price, you could beat a 300 dollar plus nova and only spend 200 on the evo. why the change. i have a evo2, why should i even think about a wcr version.

The engines used by the Kyosho/Sirio team were Sirio Evo2 engines with some special timing and mods for the worlds, and those are now for sale as the WCR (World Cup Replica) edition.
Brasil has tropical weather, so it should be ok.
Any engine can perform in hot weather, if it is properly tuned.
Actually in Sirio's web site there are no power figures for any engine. The specs on all 3 ports and the 5 port TUP are the same bore , stroke, etc. So it's a quetion of rules, either you run outlaw or you run legal.

I woldn't look at HP numbers......

just take nova based engines for example.......

the Nova NSR3 accorindg to Novarossi is 1.54hp......

the same engine sold by Serpent was the NovaMega SS3.......according to Serpent 1.8hp.......

and the same engine which is supposedly hand tuned by Massimo Fantini and uses the same parts of the NSR3, according to NovaMAX is 1.35hp............

funny.....isn't it?????

regarding brazilian climate......I live in Brazil, near to Jundiai and I stayed there during the WC.......the WC was held under high umidity conditions........temperature around 30ºC, the weather was rainy in few days.....

The world champ edition comes with the same pipe that they were using at the world champs, it is a really nice pipe. Also from what I heard from the supplier (no actual confirmation) the wcr edition has a hardened crank and the piston and liner are hand fitted. Mine was REALLY easy to break in so i believe that the taper fit is perfect.

I bought the WCR edition combo exhaust, etc and when I recieved it from RCMART I found that upon opening the box I saw that the exhaust had a decent sized dent in it. I sent away a few e-mails with pictures of the damage to RCMART after they requested it and I never got a reply back from them. I bought this weeks ago and I still have not recieved an e-mail back. Not happy Jan. :flaming: :flaming:

Beware when you buy overseas

so what does this super sirio and pipe cost?

MTX-3 Kid 02-06-2005 05:02 PM

I got it for $450 AUD shipped.

Don't know of any factory modified Sirio 5 ports, maybe it's modified by somebody else. BEWARE.
The only Sirio based engines that I now as factory modified are the Lamberto Collari engines, modified by his father Mauro Collari.
that are sold by www.werksracing.com and as i speak they only had the regular Collaris 3 and 5 port, but were going to import the Mauro Collari modidfied versions.

You are not showing me any comparative pictures of so said "factory mods" all you are showing me is a box and the
S12 TUP EVO2 engine, but it doesn't show anywhere it is a moded engine.
Maybe your LHS is comparing the old S12 TUP with the new EVO2, but that doesn't mean the Evo2 is a factory moded engine, it's just a new model with obvious changes to the old one.
I still sustain there are no factory modified Sirios for sale on the market.
