Yes, that motor is extremely fast! I think it's faster than the Plus 35 but probably lacking in the torque compared to the Novarossi. That's always been the case with Sirio so you just gear accordingly.

Thanks a lot Racing4Evo.

Hi guys,

Whatīs the diference between the Sirio EVO 3 .12 Turbo 3PT STI IFMAR and the Sirio EVO 3 .12 Turbo 3PT STI EFRA ? Seems to be on the crackshaft, but on the Sirio Website both engines have the same specs! Asking that because on The Border there is a almost $100 diference in their price. Is one more powerfull than the other in any way ? Thanks in advance.

you are correct, it is the crankshaft.

IFMAR version has larger crank hole diameter and more power.

The price difference is because with the IFMAR engine, You get an inline pipe too, the EFRA engine is only the engine.....

M7H,

You are right! I didnīt notice the inline pipe. BUt do you know if there is a performance diference between them ? Thanks.

M7H 04-20-2007 09:27 AM

The IFMAR version will have a less limited crank, so this engine should perform better, but if it is noticable, I don't know..

twiggy 04-20-2007 08:29 PM

if your rules allow it then go for the ifmar.
as they say, bigger is always better :)

t5 sti

would you consider sirio t5 sti better than the sirio t3e sti.i cannot understand why the t5 sti is cheaper here in Greece from the t3e!! :weird: as far as i can see from other online shops ,both engines have the same price and the same specs, except from the ports on the sleeve.which one would you guys buy?

Hello I'm looking for some information. I'm far from new to RC but I just got my first AAC construction engine. Its the Sirio S21-WRC. I'm just wondering if these engines need any kind of special care compaired to the ABC engines which is all I've been running up untill now.

i run the same engine. just make sure to warm it up before you go out onto the track. i usually start up the engine about a minute before the previous race has finished.
also keep a check on the conrod and bearings.

Hello, The ancer to your question is yes and no. The main thing with an aac construction engine is when you first start the engine don't rev it cold. what i do is rase the idle with the transmitter triger just a litle and hold it there with my outher hand on the engine head and wait antill the engine begens to get some temp into it. AAC engines will ware much faster when run cold you must pre warm them befor you start kaining them. That will make your engine last longer. the outher main thing with a sirio 21 wcr intregral aac engine is the liner it has 4 screws holding it to the block they are not m3 or m4 screws there imperal size you must use a 2/32 of an inch hex key this is unique to the 21 wcr engine all the outher screws are metric sizes. apart from that run it as per any normal onroad engine use a high quality fuel somthing like tornado or werks white lightnig. 10% oil max for this engine and efra 2013pipe and conical header for max paformance the efra2008 is good the the 2013 is better. Let me know if you have any more questions. Regards Jeremy.
