I have tightened my cluth about as far as I dare without sacrificing performance and I am still getting beat out of the hole. The engine runs all day at 246-248 degrees F. I noticed if the engine idles for more than 10 seconds that it would not respond when I gave it full throttle. What I mean by this is that when I pull the trigger the engine continues to idle for another 3-5 seconds before it responds once it responds and clears out it continues to run just fine, it is just a step slow coming out of the corner. I don't know if it is lean or rich on the bottom or do I need to go back to the Nova to get the bottom end that I need. Thanks for the input.

TF

Hey u might be a little to rich on the bottom. You can lean the bottom and richen the top as much as u have leaned the bottom and u should be good

is there a difference in preformance?

You will get the same paformance its simply the conector. I use to mod them by putting around joiner 9 springs because if you get a hit in the right spot it can leak. but paformance no difrence. Regards Jeremy.

It works great and in some ways better than the Sirio 2611 pipe. You gain a lot more fuel mileage but you lose a little bit of that top end power.

A lot of racers prefer it over the Sirio 2611.

troubles

I have an issue with my sti..

I cant keep the motor in tune.. I think the plug was going out.. when I changed it... the motor ran hot. not over 250. but the motor really is acting up. I took the motor out..

Anyone have tips for tuning.

I cant keep the thing running at a decent idle... I have to run it fast to keep it alive.

I am going to break in my new motor.. I just dont want the same issuses

Thanks

If I need to replace anything. what do you think it would be.? It seems to have good compression... its still fast but the motor seems to be slow if the temp is not at aleast 220.

Guys what type of motor you prefer.
Sirio STI-T3 or
Sirio STI-T5 ?

if the engine starts revving high at idle then back off idle until it starts to drop revs. if idle gets too low then richen up botom end too. and bring idle back up.

i don't really think the t5 is that much faster than the t3. if anything, what you gain in speed you will lose in fuel mileage. i don't think the 5port is allowed to run at sanctioned events.

Thanks a lot Twiggy. In our country the 5Port is allowed at local races.I see the T3 running at the track and was really fast. But the 5port was just arrived from our local distributor. What exhaust do you prefer for tight tracks? Is there Conical pipe for .12 as there is for .21 Sirio engines?

i always run thre sirio 2611 exhaust pipe.
evn on tight tracks and open tracks. i usually play with gearing.

Sirio2127 04-16-2007 06:40 PM
