.12 Sirio Evo 3(& STI)
.21 PR Pro & WCR(&STI if you know0
.21 Kanai(&STI)
- And the Conrod?

P.S.
I change mine PR Pro rear bearing every 4 lt of 25% Kyosho Fuel.
The conrod every 8lt

Thanks in advance.
Nick

i only change my bearings when they start making that 'rough' sound.
i never change the rod.
has anyone ever measured the length of a new rod as opposed to a used rod to see if the rod has bent or lengthened?

Twiggy,

Did you measure the fuel lt after you heard that rough sound?(On .12 or .21)
After 8 lt at the conrod having a little space at the bottom where is the gold cicle. After that lt there is a breaking point at the gold cicle.

Nick

i know it was definately more than 4litres. but my other engine (evo3) has had more than 10 litres through it and the bearings are still fine.
it was a .12

I didn't have a chance yet, but will do so when I race again. I was racing a CRF today and also had to do some TZ break-in. I'm trying to do too many things at one time  - but having fun doing it. :D

I need to ask a ques, im using a Sirio Evo 1 .12 engine on a FW05rr. I know it needs to use a different type of starter box to accomodate its engine placement.

From the looks of my engine, can it support a roto-start? I dont suppose so right? There's nothing to poke the rotostart into. But the previous owner mentioned that he used a handheld starter. Is there a handheld starter other than sth similar to rotostart that i do not know of?

twiggy 02-07-2007 01:55 AM

you can use a r/c plane handheld starter like this one http://www.modelflight.com.au/buy_mo.../p7260184a.jpg
but you have to replace the cup on the end with a rubber wheel.

in order to use a drill type starter you would need a pull start style crankshaft. Most starter boxes will allow you to move the motor and wheel from a parallel to a perpendicular position. For instance the Kyosho box will start both on road shaft and belt cars, as well as the big 1/8th off road buggy/truggy. Using a starter box will be much easier than anything :)

nikoskar 02-12-2007 01:02 AM

I think there is only one .12 Evo STI.
S12T3ISTI which is a 3 port engine.

Check out the build tips at the RRR Knowledge base for how to set your end play. No matter what engine I use, my end play is always 0.10mm.
