Thanks a lot guys for all the tips. Today I tested it with a new clutch spring and adjusted the tension to 1.2 mm with 0.5mm end play, it is getting better but not enough yet, will try again tomorrow with different gearing as suggested. I try to explain in detail of my problem. When i punch the throttle to full, the engine roar for a micro second and when the clutch engage, the engine roars lower for about a second or two, there after it started to accelarate faster from mid to top.Compare to my osspeed, it just feel more linear during accelaration. I know this engine supposed to be very quick because I ve seen it during the worlds in Brisbane. I temp the engine it is around 120deg to 125deg. Will changing fuel to 25% helps as well? and will I need to add head shim?

All these settings will get the engine running they are not factory settings more of a general starting setting if your carby gets all out of wack they should be a ritch carby setting as well. If not ritchen the main needle antill you get a ritch carby setting and then begin to retune your engine rembering that your engine will not hold a consistant tune antill it is at normal running temp around 90 to 120 dec C at those running temps your engine can be tuned corectly and it will hold a tune better as well. Hope that gives you some ware to start from. Also with the Sirio pr pro or pr pro evo2 and sti evo2 engines always use a number 7 turbo sirio glow plug with 25% nitro if you run higher nitro or in a very hot climet say air temps above 40 deg c you may need to go to a sirio 8t plug. Alway use a sirio or now a Rb zenon or matrix exhaust system for max paformance on and off road. Most improtant of all you must use a quality fuel that is vital to long engine life regardless of brand. Best Regards Jeremy.

Many thanka Jeremy.

i would say your engine is overgeared.
definately try using 16/60 it will help your engine rev up faster out of corners.

hi i hope someone can help, i am looking at a sirio 21 for my losi 8 and from what i can find the s21 bk kanai evo 2 sti is the best sirio(correct me if im wrong please), but after looking at the sirio website the sti has single adjustment carb, but the non sti engine says it has double adjustment carb. i thought the double adj would be the best, so is this a misprint or does the sti have the less adjustable carb?

can anybody tell me where to get one of the evo3 sti's?

If you are talking .21, they are not out yet in the states. If you are talking .12, check out shopkyosho.com, product from this website is shipped from a hobby shop closest to you that will have them in stock.

I was looking for a discounted price, retail hurts. i found a place in austrailia for $261usd but shipping is probably rough.

SIRIOS12T3ISTI is the part # right?

I planned on buying an STI 3 port after tuning some for some beginners and seeing how strong they are even on 20%. I have the MTX4 and was wondering what gear ratio should I use since they say these motors like taller ratios. I only have the skyline pipe to use with it so I'll give it a try.

hi guys, I had facing some leaking problem in my STi.
Had replace the the front bearing and two O-ring from the high-end needle.
but still facing the leaking problem. check the all ard the Crab. and found nothing wrong...inclued fuel tank and fuel line.
Oh yes, the leaking is actually somewhere around the carb which half below the Crab. Could it be some where else which is the common probelm ???
any advised pls from those who face the same problem.. :(

does it affect the performance of the engine?
is there more build up of fuel on the lsn side or the hsn side?

This is caused by the engine being too rich. When the engine is too rich, some extra oil/fuel is forced out through the front bearing and sprays off the flywheel onto the parts you see.

See your LHS or maybe have someone with more experience help you tune the motor. The reason it is 'slack' is also because it is too rich.

i had done a proper running in and been running quite a fews tank thru.

but funny thing is when i throttle on the box, can't see any leak at all  , its only when i run a few lap back, its happen ... :flaming:
maybe i lean and see hpws the result.

thanks for the help ;)
