Hi Monty, quick question. When you do the R2R break-in, are the engines run until "the nuts drop"? Or should I expect "the nuts too drop" some time soon? I should have asked you over the phone when I ordered the engine.
thanx

i would have to charge alot more to run each engine 1.5 gallons which is usually around the area where this happens but the r2r is 3/4 to 1 gallon of fuel of a proper run in . i dont rev the engine out really hard during this time but usually tune the engine in good enough to run races ;)

Ok sweet. I just didnt' know if I should expect it or not. Thanx man.

Hey Monty, on the P5X head buttons there are dimples. On my standard button there are 3 in a row and on the turbo's there is 2 on one side and 3 or 4 across from it. Do the 3 go over the exhaust port? Also, what is the reasoning for this? I was thinking it was for indexing the plug in the chamber but I'm not really sure. Thanks!

no reason really , it is a cylinder which doesn't really need any indexing but novarossi installs the most dots towards the exhaust ;)

Monty my mill showed up today and is in my 808 and ready to rock. Gonna run it bit tommorow to make sure it's good for the weather here. Thanks a bunch for the KILLER service! I'll be leaving a nice note on your site.

Got a tank through the 21-5 this evening finally. After 10 minutes it temped 235-240. Wound out real nice without really pushing it too much. I felt "electric" smooth!

It's supposed to be 90's and hmuid as heck tomorrow. Any suggestions Monty?
