fat bottom does not make them surge,,,fatter the bottom the faster the idle will drop...only too much O2 in the mixture makes them surge, not too much fuel...too much fuel drowns them out...

This is why it happends with a lean top & fat lsn. After a high speed run,You get more O2 that fuel so it does this surge untill the fat lsn kicks in.

If its not loading up , it stays running ,not excessively hot and making enough power to keep u happy i say its good , fuel pressures from tanks do some funny stuff. The novarossi carburetor definitely needs a good consistent fuel pressure from the tank , ive seen tanks cause inconsistencies, pipes cause inconsistencies, holes in pressure line ,etc. Etc.

I'm wondering if it wasn't the pipe now. I did a glycol soak and got all the gunk out, so maybe the pressure nipple was getting clogged?

That will really wreak havoc on engine tuning

I had a few issues with pipes at nationals with a few guys running my engines , new pipes , all was well

Houston,

I'd like to inquire about your services for pinching a p5xlt. Could you please inbox me your process for getting this done and turn around time?

Thanks!
