monty can you explain what needs to be done to modify hudy to install the front bearing?

I think Monty machines the center down some so it doesn't touch the inner race. What I do is take a old bearing and pull it apart and use the outer race to push against the new bearing. Just take your time and make sure the two bearings are lined up good before you take it all the way into the block. I just don't have a way to machine my Hudy tool down and this has worked for me for a couple of years now.

i just use a piece of Lexan, ream out a hole big enough to not touch the center race.. and yo are good to go... any old scrap of body that thick enough will work

Its not hard guys , your hands if trained Can be very accurate

The piece that pushes on front bearing doesnt really have to have the material removed with extreme precision anyway

Just as long as it does not touch inner bearing race

Monty,

What needs to be done to finish breaking in one of your FM engines?

Nevermind. Found it on your site.

Random question time! I figured this would be a good place for this. Is there a throttle return spring for big block slide carbs that has good tension to it? I'm looking to get a better set up on both my Mad Force and T Maxx. The one on the Mad Force is too weak, and the set up on the T Maxx is jury rigged onto the throttle linkage by the tranny, which works but bends the linkage. I want one that mounts on the carb if anyone makes a decent one. What's everyone run for this??

Houston gives personal service to everyone who runs his product, so I wouldn't worry if I was you :) he'll sort you out with the meanest tune.
