Did you run it real rich and too cold ? Needs to be over 200 degrees. If you ran it too cold and rich then you may have blew the seal on your front bearing

Just got a message from Monty to relay, "it's too windy here to type! Will check in when I get home"

Got some track time finally on my X3LFM and I have to say I really enjoyed it. A friend was just breaking in a new Lutz Alpha engine and he ran the Fusion and liked it, and that was not a race tune as I still need about 300 cc of fuel before I can really run it and he liked it. On the straight it was going well with the Alpha Dragon engine and they say that is the fastest alpha, again I was not near race tune and the temp when the Dragon couldn't pass me was only 212 degrees. :) If this gets better I am sure that many more people will be ordering Fusion engines from ya Monty. Great workmanship, I noticed the porting done on the exhaust and it fired right up. Only problem I had was the flywheel nut backed off, got it tightened back down and put her back out there.

Monty, have you seen the new Buku bearing caps? I ordered a set for the X3 and they are sending me out new shoes for my old ones wearing out so fast. I think it was a combo of getting it hot in the truggy and maybe a bit rich on the bottom when it was on my Orion engine, the front of the engine looked like the Reds engine a guy was asking about.

Thanks again for a great engine Monty, it is silky smooth with the 021 and 2096 pipe

When I assembled my clutch assembly, every time, the clutch bell is way too tight. I've shaved the collet and its properly shimmed but it still is too tight. Pls help.

what engine? what bell? what flywheel?
Most of these will interchange but sometimes they are funky, I had a collet for an Orion engine that was almost gone (about 1/2 of a new one) and I ran a losi flywheel and clutch bell. Do you have the old collet or is this a new engine? Do you have another collet if so try that one, I know the black collets are thicker than the brass ones sometimes so that might be the difference, also take out all the shims how does that feel?I just run a thick flat washer on the ends of some of my engines when I use "the bell" from JQ

I use the kyosho 13t bell and kyosho clutch with xzb speed. When I take out all the shims, the bell grinds against the flywheel and I have a brass collet. The crankshaft is like a mm off from flush with the first bearing.

put some shims on the crankshaft before you put the clutch bell on... that well help with your problem
