Still an issue in Vietnam as all the kits that came in were pre production kits without the white tank. No one in Vietnam has the new replacement tanks and the HS people haven't got in any replacements yet. New Xb9 13 specs are in but no upgrade kits or new parts. Vietnam is funny they are quick to get the new thing but slow to stock parts for the new thing, and customs delays can last weeks. I had a UPS package sent to me, it sat in customs for 4 weeks, every time I called they said it was not in Vietnam even though the tracking showed it was, finally at the 3rd week they admitted it was here but it needed to clear customs, then I have other things that go through within 14 days. We still can't import nitro fuel, every HS that sells the stuff either mixes their own or they have it brought in on a boat and they meet the boat on the water and do a off load in the middle of the night! NO joke, I helped one last weekend! Also sometimes they charge import tax that is more than the products worth, sometimes they charge nothing. No method to the madness here bro, if they see my name on something it ALWAYS gets taxed because I am a foreigner, so I have things put in my wifes name instead, and even then it is hit or miss, usually no tax when it comes to her but sometimes they try to bend her over too.

Either smuggle it or have that crap turn to a gue in your tank because they didn't mix it well. They CAN import it but the government rapes them on tax, at least what I heard, and what I have seen I can believe it, I bought a $5 microphone off of ebay and they wanted $10 in import tax! Then another time I ordered my B2 engine and it was only $5 tax, go figure???

Monty, I sent you an email, still no price list yet for Phu Dat RC? If you have emailed it try this email and send it again [email protected]

Hey Monty, quick question, hope you get this before I leave for the race tomorrow morning. I got my Vet Wrap in today, it is the 4 inch wide one. I cut it in half then pulled out a strip of it, do you just wrap it around it a couple times and call it goo
d? How tight do you wrap it? I wrapped it tight, but not squeeze the filter tight, just where it is laying flat and not loose. It was also wide enough that I was able to go over the ends of the filter, and it has about 2 wraps on it.

BTW, when you get a chance, can you email me what you think for an engine would be my best bet. With me trying to push the fusion engine here, I think I should try to compete with the OS speed because the price difference is so great, and most people here don't usually run 5 ports mainly 3 and 4 port engines. I think the X3LX is what I want and at about half the price of a speed it would be a good push with the Novarossi quality I think people will jump all over it. But if the X5L is as good as you say, I personally love all the power I can get

Just one wrap with about a 3/4" overlap

Try to make like a cocoon around the filter sealed up around each end besf you can

Im pretty sure youll be happy with an X3 lightning , if you wanna try an FM version thats up to you , the X5 race is more geared towards buggy running Jerome , its a very nice engine

Okay, the day started okay, I was doing well in my heats with the B2 and 2096 but when I changed over to the OS and 2096 for the final my day went to crap. The track is crap and many of the jumps if you land where everyone else overshot and lawn darted even if you don't over shoot you will flip. The OS is new, still tight on the starter box if you don't put the comp heat on you will need a screw driver Tune is good, good smoke, good idle, off of a pull it hits the normal idle so I know I am right there on my tune....... With no notice it just quits. We restart it, hold it up in the air shake it does great full pulls put it down on the ground off I go, coming off the first table top when it lands it dies. This goes on 3 more times, we readjust, but as I said good smoke the whole nine yards. It just keeps dying! Couldn't figure it out so I finished last in A Main. I get home pull the engine and check the clutch bearings, the sucker spins like a top, just a little play not too much, then I start to look at my Mugen, I notice where the top servo saver plate has put a nice white line in my fuel tank from obvious lawn darting I did notice that the flywheel bolt was very close and you can see marks on the tank, but I am not sure if it was recent or old marks, and I do know there were some old ones. I was using the x-ray air filter assembly which put the tank in a small bind but the fuel tank did have new white marks from the servo saver plate.

It was not hot, it would idle and rev like a champ, and stay on the box no problems at all, no bog anywhere even after repetitive throttle blips. It always seemed to die when it would land. Do you think it is the fuel tank hitting the flywheel? I have not taken the flywheel off or the clutch bell I just put it on the XB9 and will see if what I think is wrong is wrong. I think it is something with the fuel tank hitting flywheel bolt or flex in the chassis maybe. If you can chime in I would appreciate it. Maybe I am looking at the wrong thing. BTW we did change glow plugs but it didn't help, I put the old one back in as it was almost new. So dam frustrating

Youre silly Jerome , why'd you change engines?

Mbx6 or 7?

Chassis flex , brake rotor hitting flywheel *

I figured it was something like that. I changed because the OS "should" have been better on fuel and ran better on top. Thanks again for your help.

MBX6 and the reason I changed is I was only getting about 6 minutes (5 minute qualifying rounds and not much left in the tank), just changed over to Team Saxo fuel 30% as they do not have any more of my usual 25% Techlube and with no time to play with the tune as they were going fast from qualify to qualify straight to main with NO lunch. Had I been able to get 7 easy I would have kept running the B2 but.... I thought the grass was greener on the other side of the fence

Hi Houston. I am getting ready to order some engines for the summer race season. Last year, I ran a X3FM 2096 or 9901/40121 which was great all year. I was very impressed with the engine and had good results last year. It is due for a pinch, so it will be a back up motor. Was planning on getting another X3fm, X5 in some iteration, and possibly a cheaper engine for club racing.

How long will it be before you will have some X3FM's ready to ship as they show out of stock on your website? Did all X3s in recent shipment already sell?

I was also going to try an X5, because I needed just a little more power in one instance last year - double into large quad. I had to slow down in order to perfectly downside the double to get enough run up to clear the quad. Most had to do the same or split the quad up, but a few could slightly overshoot the downside and still clear the quad. Looking for maybe .1s here and expecting some huge air at the 3 tracks I will race this summer.

Leaning towards X5 lightning at the moment. I know it will have more bottom end grunt but will it keep the mid range and top end run out the X3FM had? If not we need to talk Need to keep a 10 minute pit as well.

Not that it really matters but switched from MBX6 to MP9 over the winter.

You can either post a response here or send me a PM. I have sent you PM's and emails several times in the past (1 and 2 years ago) and not got a response.
