I personally use a 750w power inverter and a heat gun . Inverter was around 70$ but allows me to use a heat gun anywhere I have 12v power such as my vehicle .

Hi again Monty.

I have a question,

since i found out that the Piston and sleeve for the +4 is actually 10 years old and europeanchampion ( novarossi CLB engine), it is funny that it now is in the wind like hell... LOL. Ocouarse, there are several other factors like crankshaft, crakcase volum etc.

And here is were the question come in,
I have several spesial crankcases from Recab in France that is black hardcoated Crono RS5. That engine was the same engine like the P5 internals but a little different crankcase. It is smaller by the looks and it seems smaller i crankcase volume than the P5.

So, what happends when the crankcase volume decrease? I would assume you get a little bit better response but maybe also loose a littlebit of revs?

Inerestingly, the RS5 was a little smoother than the P5`s i got but, when i messure the crank and port timings, they are identical.... So my guesses is that i am wrong when i say better response...

Thanks for the help!!

the rs5 had a 5+2 design with smaller rear main intake and smaller vertical transfer ports but came with the tri-spit competition filled crank. i liked that setup :D

the crono 4tclb was a completely different engine ;) ssshhhh!!!!:D

the difference between the p5 and p4 is the o.d. of the sleeve , i would venture to say it really has nothing to do with porting or volumes as much as it has something to do with expansion/contraction rates ;)

hope this helps ;),
monty

a great engine is a great engine whether its 10 yrs. old or the latest greatest break through :D

i have to order the rear , its a weird size 14.2x25.3

usually 35$ for the rear joe , or 55$ for both when changed out for tko bearings

Inverter and then then the heater from Powerhouse. The heaters have been available for a couple years before Mark started selling them. They work very well.

Monty - I have the bearing and it's only for the rear. That is all I want. I just don't have the skills or tools to install it.
