I run 5-port in both buggy and truggy..
Shimming is fine out of the box..

Orion Alpha .24 question

So I've been helping a friend of mine break in his Orion Alpha .24 and I've noticed the needles and temps move around a bit. It's very sensitive and the bottom is susceptible to lean bogging. Of course we can tune it out but I wanted to ask, how hot are people running these motors. We put a moderate tune on it after a half gallon and that was hitting the 260-270 mark. Now I know temps are relative but hell, do they always run this hot? I'm sure it will cool down a bit when we get more fuel through it and start running 30/9...( runnin 30/11 still )

Thanks for the input people

Quick plug question.. How are these?:

http://www.teamorion.com/crf2008-tur...medium-de.html

These are the 2008 version, so I'm guessing they're Picco plugs basically?

Need some plugs for my RB Fire 11 and Jammin JPX .21...

At a 1/2 gallon and still seeing tempsthat high your not broke in yet. When it drops, you will see much cooler temps, and still have to lean it out some..

Another great day for my discos ran in oth son and my car flawlessly and since i could run 10 with ease bumped from b to a in which 1 me 2 and 3 all finished within 2 sec.s of each other no stop was difference for me both mine are slightly modded by me to help bottom end lean bog idled and ran perfect

Would this motor be good in a truggy?

If you put a 2013 pipe with it, that engine will rip from top to bottom in a truggy..

I don't think the Truhe engine needs that change, and probably won't help it much.. the lsn might give it more responsive mid range.

Is this the early picco based motor? the US Spec? You said "REV", and that makes me think it's an older version. Maybe post a picture, escpecially of the carb.

I can't speak for Paul but the os p3 works pretty good as well. It feels like it might be a touch hotter though. I will be trying the P4 as well since it makes sense in my head
