Thanks Buggydad. I was looking more at the wrist pin configuration. If you look at the wrist pin it has a hollow side and a solid side. I need to know which way it faces when assembled correctly. You can look through the exhaust port and tell. I took my apart and forgot how it goes back together!

There is an article in the August issue R/C Car magazine showing how to replace a piston, rod, and sleeve. It may be on there site, www.rc-car.com

Hi Rick57

The solid side should be at the exhaust port side. Which means if you look from the exhaust port you should see the solid side.

Does anybody has any idea whether RB shut down their forum or what ?. Been trying since yesterday and the link is always broken.

unfotunetely it has been discontinued. the past couple pages here(rctech)have discussed the fact that the rb forum was one factor into buying rb engines. after rody left the forum closed. hopefully google or this thread can help you.

Are any of you running a C6BBII .21 USA? Right now I'm running a WS7-2 and absolutley love it. Im looking at getting another motor for a GOOD back-up or to replace the WS. How do they compare? Is the power band smoother, over-all power, any opinions on anything else? Would anyone recomend the WS9 instead?

Thank you in advance!!!

I'm running the usa spec and love the motor.I'm getting 12-13 min a tank in my buggy with it tuned at 225-230:nod:I have only ever owned c5 and c6 before so i couldn't fairly compare it to a ws motor.Compared to the regular c6 the usa comes on the bottom stronger and seems to just pull from there even seems better on the top.
I run a fairly loose track and the usa in my 8 2.0 seems to be more motor then whats needed on a low bite track. So I'm getting the ws9 to put in my buggy and then use the usa in the 8t 2.0 i just got;)

Check out the soon to be released RB "Killer 9" engine,
over on the Neobuggy.net web site. It looks like it's RB's
version of the Novarossi "Toro Nero" engine. This new
RB engine is going to be one mean mutha.

Isnt this engine just the c-5 with a updated head or is the piston/sleeve completely new?

Anyone know what the deal is with the US Rep? He will not answer the phone and you can't leave a message because his mailbox is always full! I love the RB brand, but his neglect is enough to make me look elsewhere. You'd think support would be first on the list unfortunatley it appears as though he could care less?!?!?

I just hope he isn't hanging out with Russel, the guy
that imports GO engines to the US. Seems like he doesn't
give a damn about his US customers and business either.

It's a complete shame that it's like that! You'd think he would be at least a little concerned with the U.S. consumers! I guess when Roddy left so did their support! WTF!!!
