I have a rb fire 12 in my mugen buggy. It's way way way too much power pretty much skate the car the whole way round the track. Very on/off delivery. Would this be any good in the rc8tce or same thing-too much. Thinking with the extra grip and weight it should tone the fire down a bit.
It's only just nearly broken in still creeping up on race tune. If it's gonna be too much I'd prefer to not install it at all and sell it off whilst it's still fresh. Is the a way to tone it down a bit without running it blubbering rich at all?
Truggy is in the mail will be here tomorrow, currently has a works b7 pro installed. How do these 2 engines compare? Trying to work on the slow is fast principle and the fire doesn't condone this style at least not in a buggy.

I really liked the Fire in my truggy. Mine was CRE modded and it was really nice with 2058 pipe. Sadly a part of the wrist pin clip broke off and scored the p/s.

Are they the same engine?
Why is it more expensive without the pipe?

Interesting observation on tearing down the Blast V12. The crank rotor is full round instead of the usual more triangle shape toward the crank pin. Hmm.

(Damn!! Should have waited for the V11 instead of getting the V9...... )

The bottom end is unreal! Just so much power and it idles like a champ and is pretty easy to tune

Sounds good... I've tried to sell my V9 a few times, with no luck.., so I guess I'll be stuck with it. See how it goes.. Just have to find the time - and for one of my other engines to die.. I have more engines than I have time to run them these days unfortunately.. And the weather has been awful too(even by German standards..)

I lost the 2045 pipe and manifold though and I'm wondering if a dynamite 053 tuned pipe will work well with an RB B10? I don't really want to buy another 2045...
If you use the 053 pipe, it may give you too much bottom, if you get a Losi pipe, the 'RE12, it's a copy of the nova 9901/41021, or go with the nova rossi 2096 pipe, it's the same as the RB 2045, with the nova 41021, will work great on the B10 .

Default v12

I was looking at the v12. How do these motors run? The price is very good. I would like to try a rb engine every one that has one sure like them.

If it is the same as the C5/C6 of yesteryear and I think they are. The 9886 was incredible on that engine. Probably the fastest and smoothest engine I have ever ran.

So saw a Blast V13 on a news site. Whats the difference between that and the V12? The internals look the same in the pictures.
