FYI : @main has the BXR and BX in stock for much cheaper than any other US location.

Combo :
BXR w/ 2097 pipe : 449.99
BX w/ 2097 pipe : 389.99

Just Engine
BXR : 389.99
BX : 319.99

These are about 80-110 dollars cheaper for any item you buy compared to other places. Combine with the 25 dollars off 250 for an even better deal.

I bought a BX w/ 2097 pipe because I didn't want the BXR since people are comparing it to a C6 USA engine which is to much for my buggy.

Can someone who has ran both give a comparison between the BXR and the Nova Plus 4 BTT......power, runtime, realibility/tunability?

Thanks!

Since they are both made my Nova Rossi. They both are well built. I would suspect the BXR has more power every where. The BXR is suppose to be similar to a C6. Everything else should be comparable. Both are very good engines.

Hi.
Well... Allmost every RB driver in Denmark struggles with flame-outs this year. The power is fine. I don't know about the powerband and runtime on the RB engines but I would guess they are as great as Novarossi engines. I was pitman and tuner for a BX engine at the Danish Nats. The engine sounded really great in the semi, but never the less it flamed after the second pitstop. I must say it was REALLY warm that day and many other engine brands had flames as well. My experience is that its not the engine itself that flames, but the tuning and especially the glowplug, that is the reason for flames. I can't stop wondering why RB has made two new types of glowplugs this year...

I assume that was without the Plug #5 V3 "special" that was just released. I know Reno Savoya had flame issues during the Nitro Dirt Challenge in the USA which is like ~Feb 2012 this year but in the Euro Finals this month there were many RB engines in the final. Reno got 4th. I assume he was running the new plug and there are no more issues.

Cool. Otherwise Novarossi C6TGC and C5TGC are absolute perfect for RB engines - or any non-OS-based engine

Not sure why people seem down on the 2087 pipe. In the vids I've seen it looks to make good power, with a nice high screaming sound.. Just saw this for ex:

Here too..:

Sounds like a banshee..

Might finally break mine in this weekend if I can find a 15T clutch bell somewhere..(finally got a truggy roller for it..) Don't know what pipe though. Should have an 086 and 2058 arriving in mid-September.. For now I guess I'd try the 0801 or 053...
