That makes no sense what so ever. Why would you take on line of engines and not support them. It's a great product and sells well. Then ruin your business name because you didn't care enough about the product. Sorry I don't buy it. There has to be more going on behind the scene. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

This is not the first time this has happened with RB. It's been like this at times before. So please take it easy on Jim at Fusion. You can be upset at this. But to point fingers at him without knowing the facts is just wrong. Making up stories isn't right either. Not sure if anyone can clear this up but let's give Fusion the benefit of the doubt till we get the truth.

Conspiracy theories should be left to Jesse Ventura.:D

There are two companies involved from two countries, there is a lot going on that none of us have any idea about. Like Chris R stated, this has happened before when RB has changed US distributors. I know it's a bummer but I think they will have all the small details holding things up ironed out soon, so we can get what we need here in the states.

2013 vs. 2058 for a Fire 11? I have the 2087 but nobody seems to be really enthusiastic about it.. Could sell it new.

The 2058 is really hard to come by over here.. And the exchange rate is killing off the attractiveness of ordering one from the States..

I want power all across the board.

Chris Peralta 05-25-2012 01:06 PM

2013 is gona give you a lot more low end grunt and a better sound :D
2058 will have more top end, and will get you better fuel mileage. It's not quite as loud either.

Ran my buggy at the local track yesterday with two guys running Mugen truggies - one with a BXR combo, the other with the Blast V1 (the first and cheaper one..) Both engines were VERY impressive.. The BXR looked especially potent.. But the Blast - which cost about %40 of the BXR btw, looked top notch - no doubt.. Screamers down the straight.. Was pretty obvious that the track wasn't nearly big enough to let them really open up.. Might have a vid here in a bit..

As for me, both my current engines - an Argus and a modded Picco - are running great, but I'm in the midst of a clutch learning curve I think.. I was wanting to switch over to a carbon clutch- cuz I was so sick of mangled clutchbells, and here in Germany people have been raving about the RMV Speed for years, so I finally got a couple. I tested them last week on both engines in the buggy in a parking lot, and everything seemed great. But yesterday at the track everything started binding up - the same thing happened to the guy running the BXR, and we concluded it was from the carbon shoes being too soft and getting too hot and seizing up.. In the end I changed to an alu PSR(Fioroni Vario) clutch, and it was MUCH better.. The longer I mess with 8th scale off-road bugs and trugs, the more I see how important clutching is.. So hopefully I'll have found the right set up once it's time to break in the Fire 11.. Man I wish I had a truggy...

Any new pipe experiences with the Fire 11?

 O.K. Chris, you can take the knee pads off and wipe that stuff off
of your nose now.j/k:lol: I just thought I could some how rouse a responce
outta someone who knows more about what's going on with RB Concepts
U.S.A. than you. Some words of encouragement, hell any words at all,
closer to the source of the matter would be welcomed by alot of people.
Not just me.

Ignore guys. Back to RB PRoducts

Chris (Peralta), why are you so opposed to the 2087?

The BRX combo with the 2097(which I assume is the same as the 2087, just with the snap connection thing..) looked pretty freakin' wicked to me.. Nice power everywhere.. - seemed to really go well mid to top.. Dude really couldn't even open that engine up on this track - his truggy wanted to take off though..

A mate has a Fire 11 in his truggy. Loves the engine but does not like the carby, Idle screw position? from what he has read a cheaper carby is used on the engines to keep the price down??He was looking at putting an Orion carby on it to try. I have a Bonito that has passed its used by date and was wondering how it would go on the Fire 11.

The Orion carb you could use, if thats all you had, but the Bonito carb would be like the RB carb, but better, it"s a newer style, more so like the new RB carbs,

I am not against the 2087 pipe I just feel there are better options on the engines. I do race at a high altitude so there is not a lot of oxygen up here so I need my engines to breathe as much as possible. The 2087 and 2097 are different in more ways than the quick connect. In all honestly that 2087 will probably work great for you being that you run at a lower altitude than I do. I loaned a guy a backup engine a few weeks back and the only pipe I had was the 2087 for him to borrow and it ran fine for him all day and he said it was plenty of power too.

I am sure you will have plenty of power and run time with your 2087!!

So yes the F11 comes with the old style carb that has the idle screw on the other side of the carb. These are old stock of carbs and they are part of why the F11 can be had at a great price. These carbs work great in onroad but in offroad they put the idle screw up front by the flywheel. While I am not a fan of the idle screw being there I personally don't hate it because once you have a tune that idle screw should rarely if ever need to be adjusted.

Like Nitronut said, the Bonito carb would be best on it if he wants to swap out the carb because of the idle placement.
