Thank you for the information
|
are you still sealing your carby gasket with RTV Sealant.
|
I dont think you need to seal the carb, the rubber gasket is pretty tough and thick. Once fuel gets to the inside, it starts to soften it up some, check the screws, and you'll never have problems.. Onlything i recommend is put alittle blue loctite on the 2 screws.
|
cheers for the tip.

odonnell 97t
I see some pepole are runnig the odonnell 97t? i want to try one but when i took off the head button and screwd in the 97t it will not sit flush in the combustion chamber? it looks like the plug is not long enough. with it not being a smooth bowl shape will this hurt anything like creating a hot spot around the plug? sense it sits recessed

I have must received a bad engine.
I broke in my engine Monday and Tuesday (8+ tanks) and everything was going good. I never did a hi-speed run until the last Saturday. We had a race and in my first heat race I flamed out at the 4 minute mark. For the second heat we fired up the engine and I took off the pit stand make it 15 feet and it flamed out again. So we started it again same thing... We tried this 2 more times and same result... Well I came home and took apart the engine and noticed the exhust port on the sleeve has a small chip causing a groove in the piston and sleeve. I called them today and the customer service guys was not that helpful. said I must sent the engine in all together and they will see what it was.. Anyone else had this problem? Ordering a new piston and sleeve...Oh well |

If you send it in or talk to Don @ AE you may get that P/S for free. AE has hands down the best customer service!
+ 1 . . . Don or Rick either one could help you. Associated - 1-949-544-7500 :) |
Can anyone comment on longevity of a well cared-for Reedy engine? 6+ gallons?
