Chad I just wanted to tell you thanks for what you did for me at the Psycho. It was very unexpected and very much appreciated, it shows me that you beleive in customer support 100% and I'm now 100% loyal to Trinity. In case you are not sure who this is, I was the guy with Martin and Travis Phillips by there RV. Thanks again for you help.

looking at the non modded, pre run trinity 2 .21 for spare and eventually primary truggy engine. my question is does it only need track tuned? im looking to grab 1 and throw in in my bag for when its needed and wondered if i should prerun/break-in myself or need to tune much for conditions...thanks for help
ok i see...looks nice and cheap too... |
Pipe Question
I just install a .21 in my RC8. WOW! What a nice motor. Can’t wait to get to the track! I have been running a RB WS7III and happen to have a 2045 pipe and a 192 header lying around. Will that work with my engine? I am running a JP-3 now which seems to be OK. I paid a good bit of money for the RB pipe and hate to not use it. I plan on getting a "fat boy" pipe in the near future.

i run that set up on my rc8t aswell with the jp3 pipe just ordering a big boy pipe but the jp3 runs ok for me also

Hi All,
1) IF anyone has a problem with a Trinity engine whether it is a EB or new one. It has to come to us for warranty. Dont know why Ed posted that. He does not work for us anymore. If anyone decides to send him a engine since his departure from Trinity. I will not be able to replace or fix if something were to happen to it. 2) Shims .21 Pre Run Head Shims = .038" .21 fully Modified Head Shims = .028" .24 Pre Run and .24 Fully Modified Head Shims = .020" this is for 30% fuel 3) Bottomline - There are no more EB modified engines at the factory. We have not had them for a long time. I know Amain has purchased a lot of the 2.0 Extech's.. If I remove shims from the pre run what wiil it do? |
pre run .21 - raised top piston
fully .21 - flat top pistion if u run .028" on pre run, you will ruin engine because it will be to little of head clearance. |
Did not mean to remove .10, more like .03
What is the performance diff between the mod and pre run. Thanks for the quick response Chad. |
I havn't run the FM, but from what I have heard, basically, the Pre will have a more snappy bottom. The FM smooths this out and gives a little more RPM range on top. The FM ( I'm guessing? ) will probably also have slightly better fuel mileage. :)
