Does Kernal Sanders tune the friars that make your KFC chicken? :)

I've got four gallons on a GRP tuned. I dont race every weekend. After 2 weeks of sitting it was un-tunable today. I began systematically going through the obvious things but the same result concluded. Motor would run good, then go "dumb" rich. I was told by a very knowledgeable person that this is common and it is due to needle o-rings(idle and high).

Motor has ran for a couple weeks at 2.5-3.25 out on the high speed needle with the bottom as lean as I could get it. The motor wouldnt run until I leaned the top. Is everyone throwing their motors away once this happens, because I havn't seen anything resorting to these problems here, I hear of the mystery flame, but no fix other than buying another brand of engine? If I set the engine's needles as losi claims, it wont run at all, after four gallons. I wish Drake Would respond to my "real world" totall screwed situation.

(MOTOR HAS TONS OF PINCH)

My question to the board is, are their any mentions of any of this, here?

Mine did something like this. During a long main mine just richend up alot. Come to find out it had a airleak. It was leaking around the fuel nipple. make sure that is tight

bherzog513 you asked:
"Does Kernal Sanders tune the friars that make your KFC chicken? :)"

But does anyone at KFC know the actual "Recipe" NOPER its a Secret actually there was a article about it recently as it need to be moved from one vault to a newer vault.... They had major security !!!!

So with out the 11 herbs and spices can't call them "Mario Rossi Tuned" it would only be called Fried Chicken

a .21 is more then enough power. dont judge it till after its first gallon tho, my dad hates his grp right now but it only has 1/2 a gallon, mine has about 1.5 gallons on it and he loves mine. these engines take a while to break n

A buddy told me these engines sort of perfer a certain type of fuel. Are you guys seeing this as well? Any particular brand work better than the next? I'd like to keep using Gen 2 like I use in all my other engines if possible. I don't like the idea of needing to pack two different types of fuel, ya know?

Good Bye Tuned GRP?

The GRP engine was very very good engine specialy the tuned one, and now, the guy Mario Rossi leave the company, will the engine will stay the same as the tuned one?

that is not true at all. At my track, we have 1 with 9 gallons on it. It has been on 20%, 25%, and now 30%. Along with that, it went from odonnels, to nitrothane to byrons gen 2.

All of my GRPs run Byrons Gen 2, 30%. no tuning issues.

+1:nod:

My GRP (tuned) went 9+ gallons as well. It was still going until something scared the piston. I ran mine on Nitrotane, and mostly Gen2. This is by far (IMO) one of the best engines out there. It does take some time to break in fully (1+ gallons), but once it does, it has tons of power, and runs like a champ! Even after each gallon, it really never declined in performance.

Sad to see that Rossi has left the Co. Hopefully this will not be the end of the Tuned version of this engine, or of them at all. That would be BAD!

I ordered the non-tuned, to see how it runs, and to use as a back-up. I hope it runs pretty close to the tuned. I dont expect it to be just as good. We will see.
