I think you're right, and it probably does not have a pipe (I could be wrong ont that).

I got mine from tilted for 375 + 8 shipipng with a 2053 in the promo kit. So, after you throw in shipping at 309 and then buy a pipe, why not give your hard earned cash to an American company that at least the profits stay here in the USA? Not saying it has to be USA built just USA bought;)

Or Canada! ;)

That Tilted deal was really tempting for me, as well.

.

So mate, if an Australian company had it for 383 total and a Hong Kong shop had it for 309 + 40 shipping (I don't even know what the shipping price is just assuming the average from hong kong for this size package as I do not want to register, plus it appears to be out of stock anyway) = 349 and it take 3 freaking weeks to get to you; you'd rather send your hard earned money overseas where it will never be put back into your economy?

Yea man i understand what your saying and i would buy local if they are round the same price or $20/$30 more but i got mine landed for $360AUD ($339USD)with 5 day delivery (EMS)and the cheapest you can get one here is $540AUD so you can understand why im buying over seas i dont care were i buy from as long as i can save as much cash as i can. I just saved myself $180 AUDS thats alot of cash i can put towards other items like Fuel,Tyres,Glowplugs

Nitro$junkie 07-31-2008 09:59 PM

Yeah I would do the same thing if the price disparity was that great.

Your going to like the engine. Just make sure you have a heat gun for that sucker to break it in. The pinch is crazy. Mine is finally loosening up enough after 3/4 of a gallon to fire it up without the NEED for a heat gun. I still heat it up if I can.

The new 3009 (off road) and 3008(on road) pipes are a new pipes from GRP according with Efra 2008 rules. I bought two engines at RC mushroom (taiwan) and one came with 2053 and the other with 3009. The same happened with my two GRP onroad engines, one came with 2053 and the other with the pipe 3008.

im not fussed if i get the 3009 i already have the 2053 so 3009 can be a tuning option if i wanna tame the beast down

PS RC Mushroom is in Hong Kong not Taiwan ;)
