no! is your track large and wide open or is it medium or small and tight? it also depends on your driving style! never heard of anyone running a 2050 with a tuned grp, so that could be the reason. try a dynamite 053, novarossi 9853, or the grp 2053 for fuel mileage.

from my experience, the 2053 works well on the top and offers the best mileage. the 9853 or 053 provide more bottom end and a little less mileage. i chose the 053 for my local track thats on the smaller, tighter side of the scale. not a fan of the jp series of pipes!

Has any one tried an RB 2045? Ive got a dynamite 053 and a RB 2045 with 192mm header. Which pipe would give better fuel millage?

I just freshend up my buggy sport .21 GRP with a new tuned rod and tuned crank. Im goin to be using the 7mm restrictor, all i want is to be able to go 10min on a tank in my RC8B. Will the dynamite 053 give better runtime than the RB 2045? I think i was getting around 9:30 with the 053, non tuned rod and crank. I know runtime depends on so much more than just what pipe i run, but i think with a proper tune i should be able to go past 10min. I just want to see what kind of runtime i can get from this motor.

I noticed a hairline type fracture on the outside of the sleeve on my tuned .21(where it faces the crankcase not the piston). It is a very light fracture not much more than a scratch and it may have been there for 3 months or it could have happened yesterday. Not sure. But given the pressures and temps in that area kinda want to change it out. My questions -

1. I know the piston/sleeve for the tuned version is like hens teeth but is the P/S on the sport version identical?
2. Is the older Ninja P/S identical?
3. Has anyone found an alternative P/S yet?

It still has boatloads of compresson and has been such a great motor that i don't really want to just thrash it like it is and risk it going pop at an inopportune moment. Nor do I want to leave it on the shelf as a book end!

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Cheers, Mike.

I have a brand new sleeve (piston was damaged) I'd be willing to part with.
