You want to be a little on the rich side while running in, but not real rich and boggy. Just a little blubbery for those first 8 tanks, then a little leaner for the next 4, then just under race tune for a few more. Then by #15 you should be ready to race. It will still be tight for a while, so don't expect 100% performance or real good economy for at least 1.5 gallons. By then you should be humming real good :sneaky:

That's why I asked. I didn't think you meant rich but I didn't know what you actually meant either....:sneaky:

LOL accidental double post to add the sneaky emo.

That´s great inferno. Get yourself an MG66 through Answer USA - you won´t regret it :sneaky:
Once broken in and shimmed for the fuel you are using they are a kick butt motor.

For sure you get an insane amount of power for the money and they are built rock solid to last as long as any engine on the market today. I can't say enough good things about these mills. I just wish there were more usa outlets for them. Ebay is also a great place to find deals on them. I've been getting turbo head buttons for about $10/ea and bought a lightened gxr 5 port cooling head for about $25 to my door. They sell crankshafts and p/s for cheap as well. A month or so ago i picked up a brand new carb for $30. I figure by the time spring starts i'll have a brand new gxr 5port as a backup ;)

Sort of has a sexual reference attached to it originally. We won't go there on here though - but I´m guessing you get the picture

and yes, spare rod and main bearing for after break in.

ANDRAZ 09-21-2010 01:51 AM

Are GO turbo plugs any good on MG 66? I just wanna stick with one brand of plugs, dont like switching from os P3 to Odonell97T, and so on....
and yes, I will be running 33% roga fuel,086 pipe, will be 33% to much for that engine?

jwm2 09-21-2010 08:13 AM

I'd stick with the o'donnell 97t as they are cheap and easy to find. But thats me.

As I understand it, there is .3mm built in clearance. So you are running a total clearance of .7mm. This is on 25% nitro.

On the MM site, it states that on 20%, he runs one .1 shim. This would be a total clearance of .4mm. This would be after break in. Anyone running this?
