my .28 turbo is a killer, with longer run times and more power across the entire power band, it almost has to much power, and at times can be a hand full to drive...

Brian (mugenmb46) carries them as well as carolinasrc, and amain hobbies, those aRe probably most commonly bought from... Price range between 199 and 209 usually, for turbo or standard, 5 or 7 port... They're really close in prices...

Casterracing is right deck ht. can be a problem it may be good to check.
Grizz, Iwould first reccomend shutting your engine off by stopping the flywheel with your foot, pinching the fuel is hard on the engine by running it without lube very lean for a short stretch. Also plugging the pipe send a lot of pressure back into the head and the plug. I would reccomend checking your deck ht. per casters reccomendation.
Dvp I am glad you got the engines sorted out, you were right to be upset. For the most part people still feel they are taking a chance on Go engines and every issue seems to point straight to the product. So its awesome of you to come on here and post that. I really appreciate it. Don't worry that 3port will amaze you with on track performance, you may want to pick up a turbo button for it. That engine puts a smile on my face every time I run it.
Rageworks, the .25 and .28 turbo's will be coming, right now the factory is working on getting those 3port race engines out, the .25 is awesome with the standard plug right now, but I know its a pain for some to stock 2 different kinds of plugs. I have been telling the factory to make the .25,.28 turbo buttons since the .25,.28 came out.

Shutting your engine down in either 3 ways will get you criticism from anyone in this hobby.
You have your pinchers:
The argument: Lean causes engine damage at shutdown due to lack of lubrication... valid rebuttal is that there is still an oil film on all the parts if you disassemble the engine. Most of us use fuels with high quality oils... so no worries! When you are done running your engine for the day, you want to run it dry anyways.
You have your stinger pluggers:
Argument: All that pressure puts stress on your engine internals. Rebuttal: it floods your engine to death. There isn't a lot of pressure, but just enough to make your engine choke on it so it dies. This method HAS resulted in damaging hydro-locking though on some mills! That, and you eat up plugs a lot faster
Then you have the flywheel bumpers:
Argument: A sudden stop causes stress on the parts. Rebuttal: You are basically slowing the engine down to a stop, but at a rapid pace.
Pick your way to stop it, the only dangerous way to stopping the engine is by jamming your finger into the air filter, that method forces all that crud from the filter into your carb and into your engine.
I bump the flywheel and pinch

I ran the Go Tech 3 port last weekend and it did great. The performance will surprise you for the price. As Rocket42 stated I would recommend the Turbo button.

Sorry about that 22racer, the 5port puts out more power down low and works well in truggies, the 5port is generally a more forgiving engine as far as tune, pipe clutch setup. the 7port is amazing in the mid to top and still has a strong bottom because it is a 5port engine with a tri exhaust. It takes a little finer touch on tune and clutch but when setup properly it is an amazing buggy engine. Setup right in a buggy the 7port will have endless top and be able to spin all four tires coming out of a corner. It makes it kind of a tough decision but i would say think about the tracks your race at and the level of traction, if they are high bite you may want the 5port, if they are medium traction you may want the 7port.

22racer, here you go
5 port=the first thing that you will notice is the strong bottom, very strong but not overpowering on some tracks, getting onto loose dry dusty tracks it came become a hanfull, but the best thing is you have so much grunt, you can really soften up the clutch with out bogging it down, and it will still pull hard but more smooth, the mid to top is very good also, i havn't been to a track that this motor needed more top end to run fast. Overall, a very versital powerplant, any mid to top end pipe set up will work on this motor, you start playing with heAVY CLUTCHES and bottom end pipes your asking for trouble. But this is a smooth mill.
7 port
liner is what you will see first from the bottom to mid. bring a boloni sandwitch and coke because this thing pulls forever. The powerband doesnt have a out of control hit anywere, it's very smooth and can be driven hard with out getting the car to out of control. I'm running this motor now on our indoor track, and it pulls with the best of them. Don't let the fact of it being a 7 port get you into thinking it has no bottom, this thing will jerk a truggy around all day. Overall, this motor will siut someone who likes a smooth feel from bottom to the enless top.
pipes
5 port=GO 2047,DYN 053,NR086,JP3,2060
7 port=GO 2047,DYN 053,NR053,JP3
Plugs
STD,os A3
Turbo,OS P3,P6,Odonnel are good to, and LRP.
The plugs and pipes are what i like to tune with so you may have other's you like
Hopen this helps.

the power band differences are, the 5port has a killer bottom and mid with a good top, and the 7port has a good bottom with massive power coming in the mid, with an almost endless top end...

Brandon, i think he ment the Pro 3 spec, they are not in the states yet, you may see them out of the us for sale because the other dist may have said to go ahead and ship them, Russell is great about letting any little bugs or issues getting worked out befor he lets them in the US, that way you get your stuff with any revisions already cleared up, then you just GO enjoy
