this is a basic tuning GUIDE , to help you get the engine into the ball park , you can fine tune from there for your specific set up .
Hope this helps

VM decent carb settings will vary from car to car , what you best do is do the pinch tune to get you into the ball park. That way you have a setting thats good for your set up.

OK in that case Lean the LSN 1/2 a turn .
rev it up , if its fluffy up top lean the HSN 1/16 at a time till just before you get a clean rev all the way
put it on the ground and chase the nearest flock of pigeons that arent too close to any netball posts ...
thats a ball park

Hi guys this is my first time on rc tech so please bear with me here goes.
I bought a revo last week has a picco 26 max engine nova cooling head the guy bought the engine last summer and has had a 1/4 gallon throgh it. I've had the engine running about and it cut out on me. The engine wouldn't turn so put some afteroil in still no joy. I then took the engine off the mount taken the cooling head to reveal the piston i then tried my roto start on it the piston was moving freely i sprayed with wd40 to clean for best measure and put the engine back connected the exhaust, air filter and glow plug and engine still wont turn i had to push the fly wheel with my hand hard to unlock. tried loosening the glow still no joy. the engine will turn with the glow plug out though. but as soon as i make the slightest turn it stops.
PLEASE HELP IM OUT OF IDEAS I KNOW NEW ENGINES ARE TIGHT IVE TRIED PRIMING, USING HEAT GUN ETC

Pre heat the engine
Prime it excessively so that its almost flooded
Take the plug out
Pre heat it again
Bump it on the box so the fuel makes a fine mist out of the plug hole
Pre heat again
Put the carb slide at just above idle
Put plug in
Start it

21-2003 Throttle Needle (Slide)
21-2003A Short Throttle Needle (Slide)
That would mean the 21-2003 (the one listed at A Main) is the long one.
Moto
The part number (21-2003) is correct, but the picture is of a short needle

GO motors in the US run the short needle, so A-Main may think this parts number for the low speed needle is correct (they may be unaware a long needle even exists for these motors). If you use that part number you will probably get the short needle shown.
The long needle is standard issue from the factory, unless the importer/distributor for your country requests otherwise - which is the case in the US I believe.
Yes, once you have the tuning of the long needle carb sorted the performance is great. A little smoother performance and slightly better economy IMO.
Here is a pic of the long taper LSN - quite different to the short needle shown on A-Main.
