I'm starting to like my .28 in my 8T more and more every time I use it. I'm using a Dynamite 086 pipe and have about a gallon of fuel through it now. It screams! I still have the extra head shim from the break in period in it right now. I ran with a vspec powered 8T today and our run times were very similar. For my first race I was fueling every 6 minutes or so but I think it might be able to go at least 7 minutes on a tank. I'm going to try a 7mm carb insert for it pretty soon and see how that helps, also I'm going to go from a 13t clutch bell to a 14t. Once I do all that I'll start timing my fuel tanks to see where I'm at.

just thought that i would bring this up:
last time i ran my 7pt turbo, i was using the os p3 plug as prescribed by everyone on here and on the grid.
my motor last ran on labor day weekend, since then, the motor has sat. a buddy of mine needed to borrow a motor to get a good setup for his k car, he installed the motor, went to the track and it wouldn't start, (remind you that this motor was sitting on my shelf since the 1st weekend of september.) i did use after run oil before storing the motor.i told him to buy a p3 plug, he buys the plug, and the motor still wouldn't start. he calls me to tell me that a very knowledgeable nitro tuner told him that the taper on the button is different then an os turbo button, so the p3 plug wouldn't work. the guy gets him a different turbo plug(i think he said he got an oddonell plug) and the motor fired right up,no issues at all, tuned a little bit for the cold weather and was running awesome.
has things changed for me since sept.
please reply back with any comments

for me it ran awesome. i'm not concerned about it as long as the thing runs. the motor has not once given me a problem, i just thought it sounded it weird to me, i don't have the motor so gettn a picture right now is out the ?
i know that a 1-11 npt thd(american) is different than a 1-11 bspt thd(europe, asia) so i wasn't sure if the the os plug is a different thd than the go turbo id thd's

If I don't notice any significant change in performance or the tune before the gallon is completely gone, I'll go ahead and take it out after my gallon jug is empty. I only have probably four tanks of fuel left in the gallon though so it won't be long...The only thing worrying me right now is that my starter box has a hard enough time trying to start it as-is!

I think it may just be the byron's fuel my 7port has almost 4 gallons and it is still really tight my lipo powered mugen box was having trouble turning it over i wore a nasty groove in the wheel and had to replace it at the 2 gal mark
i was frustrated because the break in was taking so long, now it turn over but still with alot of effort. I was not pleased with the motor at first but now im loving it. Like the high dollar novarossi /Rb motors they take a while to break in
Russell or jason I have a ? would the older 3 needle carb hurt the mid range im running the 053 and low end is awsome same with topend but i still have a dead spot/lag in the midrange? would i benifit from the newer 2 needle carb?
