Rossoh, you should be able to pick up a pinch bolt for the Go carb, the Nova pinch bolt should fit. I have heard that people put the Go parts in there Novarossi's and it works great, but from what everyone says the lifespan of the P/S/R is not as long as the lifespan we see out of the Go engines. So while it may work you may end up with a engine that won't last as long. Its best to run the sleeve in the crankcase it was designed for.

Hey Satoch, that little 3port engine is good huh. I run mine with a turbo button and I just ran it again (its my backup) it always puts a smile on my face when I run it. On a tight track it will stack up with the best of them, it spools up very fast.
Congrats on the run in Il. Is there a website that might have some pictures posted. |

Congrats on the run in Il. Is there a website that might have some pictures posted. It was a really fun race and a lot of people are very aware of Go Tech now if they weren't before. Expect quite a few new orders. I loved my 3 port with the turbo button. I should've leaned it out a tad bit more to get another 41 seconds. I ran out of fuel 9:20 minutes in to my 10 minute main while leading. Oh well. That's racing. |

Anyhow, I tried the 7.5mm but the motor bogged the last 10' down the 115' straight, before the fast sweeper, even after warmed up and running 220 degrees (or so) so I went back to the 8mm. It wasn't lean bogging, IMO, the motor was not getting the fuel through it efficiently enough. Maybe a mod job is in order just for fun. I know the motor will loosen up a bit as it barely has over a gallon on it now-but not much. Sure ceramic bearings would give me a little bit more. But then I lose the beauty of a motor at this amazing price point! So what do I do? Frankly, the easiest answer is to not even bother trying to squeeze another %3 of performance out of this little pocket rocket and make up the 5 seconds by not crashing! :lol: Or I can just wait for the new 3 port race motor. Right?! |
what pipe are you guys using with the 3 port?

Hey Satoch sounds good, I bet turning the EPA down on your throttle servo 10 clicks, would have pushed you past 10, in a 10 min main its a big advantage to not have to pit. Either way I am glad it worked out, can't wait for the pictures. Another thing you may want to do is put a race carb on that engine, I know that kinda defeats the purpose of the price point, but a carb will last for multiple engines with just a o-ring job inbetween mills.
Free2day77 The 086 or 053 pipes both work very well on the Go engines either should work fine on the 3port. We are testing the new Go pipe right now and hopefully it will produce as good of power with increased mileage. |
Im running the go 5 port standard with the dynamite 053 and i ran around 8 mins on tank with the 7.0 venturi in carb and it still puts out plenty of power but i think i need to put the turbo plug on there and make it more responsive thnx will g
