Guys,

anyone know what's up with Russell? I ordered a rear cover from him a month ago and have yet to see it. My e-mails are going unanswered. I saw a few pages back about problems with the racefactor address. What's going on???

Jaz did you call him? If you want give me a call we'll get it worked out. Probably an oversight. There has been issues with his email but not now.

You won't loose all the pinch until around the 7 litre mark Darn these motors are tight !!!
I have dropped the head shimming on my modded 5 port to .6mm total (3 on the button and 1 x 3mm alloy shim) from the stock .8, and gone to a medium plug. Going better than ever. Something you might like to try when the pinch has subsided some. With the 6.5 restrictor I am looking at 9 minutes with a smooth throttle finger. I don't run max race tune, so could probably get 10 + if I pushed the envelope and drove real smooth as well (thats the hard part). Good luck Sunday
Cheers mate, I only have about 3 litres on it so far, and she will still lock up at tdc cold even oiled up turning her over by hand. Funny though, it was never that tight, I guess I got a 'loose' one. even the first couple of starts I never had one 'pinch' moment requiring the old screwdriver technique... My GRP was far tighter out of the box.

I have a P4 and P5 to try out on the plugs, I have been running a P3 but I want to go a bit colder. The only full set of inserts I have right now are the GRP ones, 6MM 7MM etc. and the 6MM just seems far too small to me
I might give it a go though... I'm just concerned it won't give me enough top end, though the main reason I bought the GO is for bottom end punch - which it has in spades!!!

You have by no means seen the full potential of the 5 port I got almost 3 gallons on mine and still gets stuck when cold. After you hit 1.5 gallons the motor will give even higher rpms. I cant belive I still have mechanical pinch never thought it still would be there. I am guessing it will last 12 gallons the way its going now. I too always ran the P3 now going alittle less hot as soon as the weather lets me

Racefactor is the Usa importer, Russell has dealers that sell the products. As a dealer I have had no problem getting ahold of Russell.

You want to see a joke read this!

Sorry, maybe I get a little too upset at times. This whole Rc Tech forum seems like everyone is bashing on everyones products. It does not matter what car, motor, fuel etc. you have, if you are new and make a mistake because you didn't ask for help just admit it and move on. (Speaking in general about the forum)

I agree. I call him and he answers most of the time wether its for me or someone else, I try to let him know everything that goes on or if someone orders something and dont recieve it, "only happened once" I try to get it worked out ect. Make shure you got times right because he is 3 hours behind me. Russell has done alot for me and is a super guy, and he is pretty much a 1 man show and like 22 said is the dist for all the US. And he races to the guy has to have fun shoot we do. Can we please cut him some slak.

That's pretty damn childish, you will be getting no business from me I can tell you that. And yes Race Factor is quite the joke. My LHS was complaining that they cannot get a hold of Russel and he's not returning their calls. How is this good business practice? They're trying to order a 2047 pipe for me. Looks like I'll have to order that overseas too. If he couldn't handle being the US distributor for GO he never should have taken on the project. His first priority should be parts availability for his US customers not getting as many engines for EB Mods and screw everyone else.

Maybe you're special and you can get parts and get him to answer your calls and emails, but what about everyone else? Don't they deserve the same customer service that you're getting?

Just my .02

I love GO engines, but the lack of US availability of engines and parts will ensure my next mill is a Nova.

I would like to say this about Russell, the guy is a class act I hardly come here and post but I do come and read now and then.
I had some issues with a Go 5pt that I race and I had no luck reaching my local dist so I contacted Russell and he responded to all my e-mails and gave me great advice
After I had no luck tuning with the stock carb ( I even did the LSN mod) I trashed it and use a sirio carb, the down side is this carb gives it a harder punch down low and takes away the smoother acceleration of the stocker but is much more consistent in tuning for me
