Go-Tech Engines Thread

Ha Ha - I have no idea
Glad you guys are enjoying your new Go motors. If you think they are good now, wait until you get to that magic 1.5 gallon mark and the break in shim is removed. You will be smiling from ear to ear
Just remember, be patient and don't try to lean them out too soon. You will find the Go motors like a fairy rich top end and a leanish bottom end. Thatīs just how they like to run with the carb and needle set up they have.
Hey GmdGrimlock - Do you know about the Aussie Go thread hosted by Massive Mods on these RCTech Forums ?
You just log on using your same password as here. Here is a link to the last page of posts:

is EB Mods going to come out with a pipe for the EBM5? or what pipe is getting the best results? I'm guessing the Go 0801, but would be good to have a similar pipe to the 0801 but stronger since the 0801 is pretty fragile.

Hey guys. Well I finally got a chance to start running in my 5 port this afternoon. We did the first 2 tanks with HB444 then did another 3 with MM A-Main(Letting it cool between tanks). Despite only having minimal fuel through it, it seems as though it is gonna be a hell of a motor. We have only done very brief amounts of full throttle so far but you can already see the potential there just waiting to be tapped into once I can get some more fuel through and get more of a race tune into it.

Nice no more breaking in
How much are the EBmods tuned Go engine
I checked the website but still no price
I will be putting this in either a new 8T since I converted mine to Techno electric and it is cheap now or a D8T if it will come out soon
JR how is your new Mugen and the Go running
Will we see it this sat?

Anyone? 20%? 25%? 30%?
Any help on what % Nitro to run and information on shims that are installed in the engine from the factory or come seperately included would be greatly appreciated.
I have been running the Novarossi 3-port (on 30%), but I am going to give the GO engine a try.
Thanks.
BTW... a little while back I was looking for a rotor start for the GO engines and found this --> http://www.go-engine.com/go_engine-2.htm

Sweet as - I remember your buggy with the Go 7 Port now. You were in the heat after me, and I kept seeing it when I was marshalling. Sounded nasty too !!!
I was running the bright orange GS CL-1, but not any more. Put the old girl to rest in favour of a new X-Ray 808 for 2009. Still running the same Massive Mods Stage 5 5 Port motor though - it is a beautiful thing, and makes the lightweight X-Ray really haul butt

i modded that motor myself and for some strange reason it changed the pitch of it which made it sound real angry
did you run the standard tech's before your MM's one's? im very tempted to get one of his stage 5 or 6's... worth the investment ya think? especally since im the only one running go's down here... keen to wipe the smile off a few grp/os drivers faces

My standard 7 port had the wrist pin retaining clip break, which knackered the piston and sleeve. I got a new PSR set and sent the sleeve over to Mark at MMods for a Stage 3 spruce up. Just getting to the 1 gallon mark on it now and its very nice. Makes for a sweet back up / play motor.
The Stage 5 5 Port I am running in my XRay is direct from Mark. Mate, the workmanship on these motors is superb
The Stage 5 which is what I would recommend, includes a lot of work on the crank and sleeve, plus mods to the piston and con rod also. My 5 port has been a pleasure to break in and run. It will keep up with anything on the track (it's only the driver thats lacking).I would highly recommend contacting Mark at Massive Mods and getting one of his motors. Service and after sales advice etc is top notch, plus his being in Australia makes it a lot easier for us NZ guys (not to mention our exchange rates being a little closer).
I will PM you regarding a few other details.
