I would say if you run on a high traction track you would notice a fairly big difference between the .25 and the 5 port. The .25 just explodes out of the corners, if you run on a slippery track it might not help much. They both may top out about the same.

i think either motor u pick the 5port or .25 would be a good choice....hope u have a heat gun
|
i have a heat gun lol. both engines are about the same price. I just dont like buying something and question if i made the correct choice.

if i ran an rc8t i would go with the .21 5port since its a lighter truggy just my 2 cents ive had both engines .25 in a truggy and a .21 5p in my buggy, sold my truggy i only run buggy now and i believe .21 5p has enough power to be awesome in a truggy i have tried both recomended pipes dynamite 053and a 086 loved both 053 to much bottom 4 me in a buggy but IMO would rock a truggy

What if i used a bottom end pipe with the go tech 3 port race??
|
I ran my PTM .21 5 port in my truggy for the end of last season with an 086 and the 8mm restrictor and the truggy wasnt the lightest and had tons of power all over. My question is this same mill and pipe are going into a D8 which is really over kill, what is the most economical and practical way to tone the bottum down a bit?

me personally i'd go 7 mm restrictor,1.0 clutch, and 14 tooth bell to start and see how that works for ya..also a good throttle finger will do the trick:lol: |

will da 5 port crank work in the the 3 port race. thanks
|
5port transplant
yes it will work in the 3port race my crank on the 3 port wore out rather quickly so i put a used crank from a 5 port gen 3-4 - crank metal is alot stronger
|
All .21 Go's use the same crank, Gen 5 cranks look differerent. Go is coming out with a Titanium nitride coated crank soon.
