Thanks!

to this point the 086 has shown "for me anyway" to be the pipe to have on the 5 ports, we are testing the GO 0801 pipe now in the states, it is a top end pipe that was really good on the 3 ports, i will be 5 port testing the pipe soon.

Will,

The OS pipe is even more $$$

053 will probably be good. Let me know, i have one but havent tried it on the 3 port.

I have an Ofna 053, is this the same as the Nova Rossi 053 performance wise?

the NR will give just a bit more bang.

I was having some fuel tank issues with the RC8. So, I threw a mugen tank on and hit the track again.
I just got my Mugen tank today... I tried the fix for the RC8, but since I am a tuning novice I want to make certain that the fuel tank issue is eliminated.
After I mount the new tank I will test the engine again tomorrow.

If it runs the same i'll mount the 3 prt Race Spec carb...

I'd like to thank Brian Carey (Pro Twister Mods)for taking the time to call me twice already. It's because of the interest and support of people like you and Russel (Race Factor) that helped me decide on buying a GO Tech. Thanks again.

I have a race this weekend on a very small and technical track over grass ... and dont have time to break inn a 3 port or 5 port, just have my 7 ports ready, could a JP-1 pipe help on that track ?, or i jump on the pipe im using ? (FEMCA 0801 3 chamber one)

thanks,

jediwannabe,

I think you'll find that fixing the fuel tank issue will solve your tuning headaches. I had similar experiences. I just couldn't get the engine tuned. After I put the new tank on it seemed to make a world of difference. I'll probably stick with the mugen tank until AE releases the updated ones.

Bat out of hell!!

all i have to say is thumbs up to PTM won 1st place in truggy today and me and one other guy was the only ones clearing the tripps...baby the gas all day only on the 1st gallon i was fishing in trucks all day with bad shocks and the front shock was broke last 5 min. and still pull in to victory lane! thanks go to Brian, oh yeah the engine was the GO .25 with Brian finger prints on it!

Vigilante212 05-17-2008 07:11 PM

My first race with the 5 port turbo. This engine is insane. I put about a 1/4 of a gallon on it today. I stuck a 7mm insert in the carb, but that didnt reduce my power enough lol I ended up limiting my trottle on my servo to 50% just to get traction and I was still faster then the leader on the straight.

Engine ran great all day 220-240.

HaulinBass 05-17-2008 07:38 PM

Has anyone ever ran an RB 6mm insert in a five or seven port? does it cut off too much air and choke down the engine or will it still run allright.

rhymster 05-17-2008 07:42 PM

i honestly dont understand why go tech are talked about so much cheap ya last half of the life of a quality engine ya so whats the point in spending half the money for something that doesnt last as long

rhymster 05-17-2008 07:43 PM

or have a the power output of high end engines

vnmsgt 05-17-2008 07:45 PM

I think if they did not last then so many people would be not be running them. Plus it is not like they are a bunch of bashers who have them. It seems like alot of racers are using them too. Obviously they must last some or nobody would like them. I just got a 7-port and will see how it goes. My first Go Tech but could not really find anything bad about them before I made my decision on them.

Now I think you are just bashing on a single company because I know some guys who had OS V-specs, Ninja's, RB's and have switched over to Go Techs and said they produced the same if not more power and liked the motor better.
