GoTech 7 port -

Guys, I ran the Go 7 port modded by ProTwister Mods this weekend and
it was awesome. Great linear power band and held a tune all weekend in
the rough, dusty conditions. It really made it through a tough race on
this one. No problems at all running the Go Tech against anything on the track.

Ive been thinking of getting a go race 3 port. Are they out yet and if they are what website is selling them. If not out yet what site will be selling them. GO is looking great from couple people ie seen running them and the 3 port looks like even better for the small track i run.

Hey guys I just wanted to give a quick run down from Atlanta. All I can say is wow about the track big huge air, was equally impressive to see guys 20ft. in the air doing backflips over a 50ft. gap. I personally like rough tracks so I was liking how blown out the track got.

About the team guys it was great to meet all you guys, everyone a class act, helpful, fast on the track, and great ambassadors to our sport. I feel great about the team going into 08, I hope we can continue to grow as a company and provide the racers with better products all the time. I saw more Go engines at this race then I have ever seen at a single race before, I feel we are off to a great start this year.

I just want a say a big thanks to all the drivers using Go power, I will continue to push hard this year and try and supply quality products and stay true to the company motto, for racers by racers.

Brian did you get my PM ?

how would the Go Tech 5 Port w/ standard plugs run with RB standard #6 medium plug? only reason I want to use them is because that's what my LHS stocks.

Rocket42 02-08-2008 09:07 AM

It will probably run alright with those plugs but effiency will be down. The Go engines use the short threaded plugs and the Novarossi's are long threads, You will either need to use the Go plugs or the O.S. compatible plugs. For O.S. I would try the #8 or A3, o'donnel also makes a o.s. compatible plug and I would say try the 97 and 99 standard plugs. You can always get your local shop to set up an account with Racefactor Industries and then they will be able to carry the Go plugs.

zJatoRad 02-08-2008 09:11 AM

oh I thought I could not use OS Plugs, I guess I read wrong, I will use OS #8 plugs then, thanks for the info!

Can you just add a washer to the Novarossi plug?

The long body standard plugs will work , however they protrude into the geo dome. This has 1 positive effect and 2 negatives

Positive is that it can increase torque

Negatives are it reduces idle and top end

the effects are small but some will notice them

best bet is to get short body in standard plugs

how come A-Main only stock parts for the Go 28 and not the GO 25, are the parts between them similar or the same? or what's up? I ask because my uncle wants to get a Go engine for his Hyper ST PRO, I can get a 25 a lot cheaper than the 28 but my concern is that I can't find parts for the 25 but only for the 28.

I thought someone said the internals were identical, I'm assuming the piston/sleeve or conrod or crank has to be different though since the displacement is different between the two. The .28 is absolutely insane, I'd definitely try the .25 as well if I had a choice. It probably gets slightly better fuel mileage and still will have plenty of power to get around most tracks in a timely manner. Even if amain doesn't stock .25 parts...they can get anything from Russel and he probably has it in stock so it won't be more than a few days for amain to get the correct parts in stock. I wouldn't base your decision solely on that if I were you...if you're more interested in the .25 get it and don't look back. In the event of needing new internal parts simply call one of the retailers and for them getting the correct parts shouldn't be an issue. Russel ships stuff out usually the same day payment is sent so it won't take long for you to get it.
