I found a puffed soft pack at the end of the day. It was a marshmallow, so I shorted it with a shovel blade and put it in the garbage. It gave off a little hiss and stink, but it was pretty well discharged.

I don't know if that was yours, but that was one that I found.

Hi All,

Might be trying out some 1/12 action this year. What is the spec 1/12th 17.5 tire? The page says "purple stripe"...the only thing I've found is crc's "world gt" purple stripe...is this it?

Thanks!

Thanks! Do we have a rep at our track (for "local pickup") or do I need to get them shipped?

My 3rd-hand rc12r5.2 is coming along nicely. Did the transverse mod. Super pumped for trying out 12th scale. Anyone have a link to a good basic starter setup for 17.5 on the community center carpet? Again, new to 12th, so something a bit planted/less aggressive would be good.

I just have a question for the upcoming indoor season. I want to choose between two motors a turnigy track star 25.5 "not sure if its roar legal" $60 or a Maclan 25.5 "now roar legal" $100. Is this class considered a budget class or a little more then that. I just want to be sure on what I purchase to be able to race on race day. any info would be awesome

thanks

Trackstar isn't ROAR legal as of today. Here's the list of approved motors...

Scale Spec is a full-on race class. It's budget to the extent that you'll break (relatively) fewer parts than stock and modified drivers because the average speed is lower, and it's true the tires last a good long while.

But, straight up, and not to lead you down a primrose path while others are preparing to battle through a thorn thicket, buy the best motor your wallet allows.

I've personally tried the go-cheap route, and the instant I bought that second motor out of frustration and lack of confidence in my gear, I had spent more than I would have had I simply purchased the right thing the first time.

As for which motor will prove out the fastest? I have three honest answers, in no particular order:

1. The hell if I know.
2. Probably the stupid Trinity.
3. The one with the best corner speed.

Hope that helps.

At the present time only (4) 25.5 motors have made the ROAR list. Other companies have there submissions in however it is only a question of how long it will take ROAR to review and approve each submission. The process can take some time.
