tues. electric @ 7:30 p.m. , fri. electric @ 7:30 p.m. , sat. electric @ 5:00 p.m. , sunday electric/nitro @ 12:00 noon ??? close to trcr sch. just switching nitro time . if all the needed club members get in there and get signed up and landlord agrees at that point a schedule change will be looked at if we do get the club going then we need to make sure the entry fees do not get mixed in with hobby shop sales and are controlled by the club . there are many details that will be ironed out in another meeting and possibly club meetings once a month . Here's my take on things...

Right now we have a great opportunity to get this club started. Due to the generosity of Dave and Tim, we already have a scoring system, transponders, drivers stand, and track at no cost! All we have to do is prepay some of our race fees to cover the rent of the building and we are off. Right now we are basically starting a club risk free. If you pay the $250 either it will work and you will get approx $250 worth of racing and practice over the next few months, or it won't work and you get your money back.

If we don't get this started and the racetrack closes down, it will be SOOO much harder to get things started in the future. We will all have to invest a bunch of money up front to find a location, get permits, build a track, build a driver's stand, get a scoring system, etc. I'm not sure exactly how much all that costs, but I bet it is a lot. In that case we will all have to take a big risk and invest a bunch of money before we even start racing.

As I see it this is a huge opportunity that may only be there once. Let's take advantage!

If anyone needs to sell some parts to pay their fee I am interested in a decent servo, a new body for my slash, a new body for my xxx-t, a B4 or losi buggy, a lipo charger. If you promise to join the club I will even pay more than I usually would for these things...

derek

All we need right at this moment is a firm commitment. We will collect the money after the landlord agrees to the deal and we have our next meeting. Send Andy an e-mail. I guess I better do the same, because I don't think Andy is counting me in the numbers.

I'm in, as long as I can still get someone to corner marshal for me.

Here is a list of the people that have commited to the club so far.

Tim Rowe
Dave Copher
Jason Westlind
Derek Rasheed
Roger Christal
Jack Balchin
Tom Davies
Jeff Phelps
Jack Leighan
Ron Smith
Dave Noel
Andy Phelps
Kevin Rogers
David Gullickson
Will Berger
Diane MacDonald
Greg Williams
Jeremy Baker
Rick Abelein

19 is a great start, but we need more. I want to personally thank Ron Smith for his commitment. For those that don't know, Ron is the owner of RC Plus in Salem and has, to my knowledge, never raced on our track. Here are some others that I know are commited but just haven't confirmed yet. At least I hope they are commited.

Roger Seim
Monty Houston
Gary Culp
Chris Koetsch
