as far as ride height ..i set mine at 5mm in front and 6mm in rear..and you raise and lower car via the shock's...screw the adjuster up or down to get desired height..on each shock...

thanks for that I thought ride height was adjusted by the shocks but when I adjusted at the front to lower the chassis the shock springs lost alot of there tension is that normal?will play around with it tonite. cheers!

That is correct, you adjust the ride height by moving the shock collars up or down. When you lower your chassis, you will loose tension on the springs, that is normal. But the droop screws can minimize the play. The droop screws adjusts the up travel of the car.

Dario Balestri was running a brand new G4+ and Darren Johnson was on G4S with some new parts of the G4+...
Daren was using a front differential with 100 000 inside and 40 000 in the rear. This setup has been used by Dario to win ! They were quite alone to run with a front differential but I think it was the good setup.

Where are you from BimmerDriver?
I'm located in central Pennsylvania, I raced last summer at 301 Raceway and got my parts (with no problems) from Winner's Circle in GA and from CWhitt at 301. A back injury has kept me off the track this year so I wasn't sure how Ernie's supply pipeline was working.

hey guys, i snapped my CF front shock tower today and was wondering if the g4 tower even tho its not CF, if it still fits the g4s.

same goes for the rear out drives (the cups where the rear dogbones hook up and where the nut for the wheel screws on) do those fit?

then I also have 2 more questions

1) what are better the stock orange g4s shock bladders, or the blue special bladders?

2) is the new anti roll bar really worth it on the car? the g4+ conversion on the g4s? It makes the car look like the mtx-4 in the rear, but does that help? isnt that the same thing as the ones behind the rear brace just different apearance?

The front shock towers........all will fit except the "Speedshot" front tower.
For this one you need to be running the front "Speedshot" system.

The new rear sway bar.......(G4+)....... this is a nice piece of equipment!!

It nice and easy to adjust,
It's a little thicker (3.0mm compared to 2.5mm of stock) So this enables a little stiffer setting options.
It makes for easier "tweeking" of the car when fitted.

This is the system Mike Blackstock used at the recent GLC.

also 3 more questions.

do I need new front bulkheads to use the flying a-arms for the front?

and the new style of hub carriers the ones that eliminate the cup ends are they worth it? and do they use the stock out drives?

you know what i actuallyhave 1 last question, the rear g4s diff fits right into the new rear bulkheads for the g4+ right?

=> no... old front bulkhead can use flying a-arms for the front.

the new style of hub carriers change the hub offset

Hi all,

Wanna share some of my last weekend's pain.

I was taking part in international GP. Qualified 3rd. After start of the final, on 3rd corner lost onboard voltage and became just a spectator of my own car doing some donuts and going ~40m at full throttle right into concrete wall at the end of the straight

Result:
1. Broken front bulkhead (at bumper and also shock tower mountings - at least the tower is intact)
2. Propeller-shaped chassis (actually bent only a little for a 80-90km/h hit)
3. Distorted side/front pulley teeth
4. Stripped both gears (as the motor shifted away and still was working on full rpms)
5. Front blade anti-rollbar is dissassembled (but still intact)
6. Blown tank (all 70+ml of fuel went splashing during hit)
7. INS-box flew off filter (isn't a damage, but shows severity of impact)
8. Torn pipe (shift to front still shows how hard did it hit)

Tip: don't be stupid like me - listen to the smart guys and solder factory batteries together.

Other guys told me it was a spectacular thing to watch
