Hi everybody out there, hope someone can help me out with this.
What could cause thrust bearing to brake almost on every race day?
Gear mesh is ok, i also try to adjust minimum endplay ~0.1mm, gap is ~0.5-0.6mm.
Black spring, red shoe, crf'07 engine, 52/47, 18/23 gearing

Btw, Gansei, how much time you spend to get chassis so clean?

did you put thrust bearing grease in thrust bearing?

and.. i could clean the chassis by compressor in about 5 minutes.

Bud one of 2 things i can think of.
1. bearing must be lubed with grease at least once on a club day or as well as before the mains.
2. run a smaller clutch gap of .4/.5mm, larger clutch gap is more aggressive.
The .1mm endplay is perfect and isnt teh problem.
Possible that you have clutch engaging a bit high and its stressing the thrust but i doubt it.

You should put some prices up so people know what to expect to pay. You may get a few more bits this way.

Bud oil is no good, use molybdenum grease or get some bicycle teflon chain grease.I use FinishLine Premium grease and have never had a bearing go on me.

Uniquexme havent had any hassle like that but cracks can happen from heat.
If the clutch is slipping and getting hot and then cools down the expansion and contraction can cause metal fatigue.
Wher you explained the cracks is in teh contact area of the clutch shoe and is the most likely reason for this.

Gansei, so sorry to see this and initially I wanted to say that its just part of the hobby but after seeing the extensive damage, I can understand with you why you want to stop RC for some time. Its going to cost a lot of money to fix everything.

Cheer up man ... come over to the UK and I'll lend you a real car to test - the 720! (That was supposed to cheer you up - not trying to say that the G4S/+ is a bad car )

OUCH !! thats not a good site

sorry !!! gansei
I can imagine how you feel.
Doubt that was the radio gear, must be battery, bad contact etc...
Just when you were getting somewhere with the setup.

If you were local ill loan you my spare car.
This is something that has happened to most us at some stage in our career.
